Mama’s pension was the best choice for staying. Right after arrival we received a warm welcome from the owner and her daughter (Christina and Anna). Christina then shared with us everything we needed to know. It felt like we were talking to a good friend giving the honest recommendations about what places to see, where to eat and what costs we can expect. We had a room with a terrace and a beautiful sea view. It was neat with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We appreciated daily cleaning service. I can only recommend this place. It really felt like staying at mama’s place.

If you decide to be out from the crowd of Mykonos Town, this is the place to be. 5 mins from the town by bike. A nice sandy beach with fantastic seaside nearby ( 50 steps down ). The Host.. they nake the difference. Christine and Anna are at Top Level. You can feel at home. Coffee in the morning and a lot of kindness, which is rare. Rooms are great and most of them with a balcony with a great view on the Bay. Last but not least, the cleaning service is fantastic. Just go there and you won't complain.

We arrived really really late due to a carrental delay but christina was awaiting us still and showed us our beautiful room with hige terras overlooking the sea..really everything you think of a room in mykonos this is it..next morning with coffee Christina showed us all the must sees as we were only there for 2 nights..and as we are from an island as well it was not necessary to lay at the beach..the pension is in the best part of mykonos with the family restaurant close by and the new port close by..for the sunset we went to the lighthouse..with lots of other people but it from that side one for the books! I really hope that mamas pension can stay as nice and beautiful as it is now as the rest of Mykonos is extreme touristic. The whole family is involved in running the pension and they are doing a great job! And do not forget to say hi to the cute dogs!

I had such a wonderful stay here at Mama's Pension. There are so many things to like about the place. You're going to have a stunning view and maybe even a spectacular sunset. Christina and Anna are friendly, helpful, and truly great hosts. If you need something or just have a question, they're happy to talk or see what they can do to help. I was able to get dinner reservations and a car rental done with Christina's help - something that I likely would have struggled with otherwise. The car rental came to me, so they have that relationship to make it more convenient without being expensive, either. We were even picked up and dropped off at the port. The room was spacious. I had a nice kitchenette and a good bathroom. The balcony was the showstopper. There was a separate living space and ample storage for luggage and hanging space for clothes. Several outlets were available around the room, too. The Wi-Fi worked very well not just compared to other pensions but even big budget hotels. There was a TV as well, but I didn't find the need to turn it on much. The location is Agios Stefanos and not the Mykonos Town (Chora) with Little Venice, the windmills and the nightlife. It's a short walk to the new port where you can take the Seabus into town for a small charge. The walk back is a little more challenging since it is uphill. What you get with this location, however, is a much quieter Mykonos with several restaurant choices, a nice and not-so-busy beach (ask to borrow beach towels since you can!), a small store that sells most of what you'd need, and a relaxing atmosphere. You do need to be aware of some hurdles that may make this not the place for you and your travel companions. Besides being in a quieter area, there are 111 steps (Christina counted and I confirmed!) down to the beach... and back UP. The walk to the port is easy downhill, but it doesn't have sidewalks. The walk up can be a challenge, too. The pension itself has a lot of stairs to go up as well. The staff will try to help you the best they can. I did not have an issue with this, but I can see how challenging this can be for those with mobility issues. If you're looking to stay at a place in Mykonos where you're treated like family, I can't think of a better place than Mama's Pension. I would absolutely stay here again if I have the chance to come back.

We had spent 3 nights in the superior sea view studio, and we had a really great time! The studio is big, renovated, with good bed and comfortable bathroom. Breathtaking view from the room, and it is close to the beach. Christina and Anna are super amazing, very kind and caring. Thank you ladies, you and your place is very special and affordable.

Krystina’s place is #1 for a reason! Krystina made sure we were well informed, prepared and taken care of from the moment we arrive (thank you for arranging and suggesting the car rental!) her daughter Ana was also very attentive and helpful! This is a wonderful family owned place that is within minutes to the beach. It was the perfect relaxing spot during our trip!

This was our favorite place we stayed on all the greek isles. Christina was amazing, very personable and helpful. She was always available to make sure our vacation was as comfortable as possible. You are withing a 5 min walk of the beach. There is a grocery near by, and a few very good restaurants. Christina is capable of aiding you in ordering food to be delivered if you wish. If you need wheels she is also able to set up a rental to be delivered to the hotel. When we go back to Mykonos we will be staying here.
