Don't be fooled by the pictures on Groupon very misleading the silver service and cakes don't come out to you looking like the Groupon pictures should be done for false representation When we arrived receptionist was on the phone for ages just left us there standing for a good 10 to 15 mins Then told her we were her for...

We were on a 2 night stay on a Groupon Voucher bought for us as a Christmas present. Included in the package was afternoon tea which was really lovely. We stayed in room 7. Plenty of room, comfy beds, lovely shower room, couldn't ask for more. The hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. We ate...

Our son bought a woucher deal for us & we stayed on Sunday 23 April until Monday 24 April 2017. I was a little worried as some reviews were very negative but didn't need to be as it was a lovely stay. Grounds & hotel very picturesque. Pleasant greeting. We stayed in room 8 which is at the front &...

Really disappointing afternoon tea experience. The sandwiches and scones were ok, although a bit dry, at least there was plenty of jam and cream. The cakes and service however was terrible. Cheap shop bought cupcakes and flapjack (which was clearly old). The tea was weak and tasteless and served in a rather odd tea pot, which looked like it may...

We stayed for 2 nights in room 1, on arrival we had a friendly greeting and told where our room was. The hotel was warm, unfortunately our room wasn't. No heating was turned on in the room and even after having our radiator on for 2 days it still wasn't warm. The room was ok, quite a decent sized room...

Came away on a voucher and to be fair you couldn't ask for a better deal. The location is great, with walks straight onto the Tissington trail, however if the hotel hired out bikes this would have been even better. We had a meal in the evening, however if felt like a school canteen, it was far too light with...

Firstly a BIG thank you to Sarah the waitress who was able to inform us of the best places to visit in the local area, which allowed us to get the most of our stay. Hotel was a 'doddle' to find and had ample parking. Reception area was comfortable and scrupulously clean, staff were warm and welcoming. The dining area...

Stayed here last week for two nights and was well impressed. Room very clean and the food good, staff were friendly and very helpful. You can join the Tissington trail at the rear of the hotel and the village itself is well worth a visit.
