Well-known for its charming environment and proximity to great restaurants and attractions, Hotel Palas makes it easy to enjoy the best of Petrovac. Due to the hotel's location and offer, it is ideal for family vacations, MICE tourism, wedding ceremonies, cocktails and many other events. The outside of the hotel is surrounded by a lot of green areas of the cultivated garden and an open terrace which becomes the most popular place for various entertainment activities during the summer: from folklore to salsa evenings, ethno-Mediterranean music concerts, theatres for children, street entertainers, as well as many other entertainment facilities. Our guests have the advantage of attending all these events free of charge. One of the main focuses of our hotel is the entertainment of our younger guests, which is why we also offer a playground for children with modern equipment and a professional team of animators, as well as a games room, all within the hotel premises. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, room service, and a gift shop. Furthermore, guests can enjoy a pool and free breakfast, which have made Palas a popular choice among travelers visiting Petrovac. For guests with a vehicle, there is paid public parking available on-site. For fans of water activities, there are numerous options in Petrovac such as kayaking, fishing and diving. Whether you’re traveling for business, pleasure or both, Hotel Palas is sure to make your visit to Petrovac one worth remembering.

Very close to the Beach with restaurants and cafés. We stayed at the annex building 50 meter from the main building. And the building is from 2019. Ervything is new and beautiful. The staffs are very friendly. The Only thing to improve was the evening dinner buffet was terrible. A big hall with so many guests and loud. The quality of buffet was not so good. The breakfast buffet was even better .

Hotel's Favorite
We had a 3 night stay at this hotel on a half board basis. The hotel is situated on the sea front with lovely grounds and no steep hills to climb! We were a group of three couples and were given adjacent sea view rooms as requested. The rooms were adequate both in size and furnishing with a modern bathroom with excellent shower and a mini bar but was lacking a kettle for tea and coffee. Each balcony was actually big enough for all six of us to sit together. The beach was close enough to run down for a pre breakfast swim and the pool was very cool and welcoming in the afternoon, The food was as you'd expect for a large buffet break fast and dinner but above average from some places we have stayed around the world. The staff were excellent with reception staff particularly helpful and a special shout out to.the morning receptionist who helped us sort out our airport transfer when no-one turned up to collect us. We will book this hotel again!

From my room I had a really amazing view, after that disappointment after disappointment. Cold food served on first dinner, same “hot vegetables” served for breakfast the next day. Most of the food was recycled from dinner, breakfast, and lunch. The dining room was a good place to watch other non English guests over load their plates as if there was going to be no chance of going back for more. Did not have a good nights sleep for the whole 2 weeks stayed there, as could hear noise from the bar below the room and the lift going up and down all night. All inclusive drinks where very limited to either sprite, cola, squash, and spirits. The coffee was very poor quality and un drinkable. Room service was unpredictable, some days they went to the room in the morning, some days it was early afternoon. Mosquitoes are everywhere in the hotel. Uncomfortable seating in every area of the hotel. Would not go to this hotel again ever

The positives from this hotel is the stunning full sea view from the balcony of our room, it was a wonderful sight especially watching the sunsets. We have a king size bed at home and the bed in the hotel room was even bigger and very comfortable. There was also complimentary bath robes, slippers, beach towels, free safe deposit box & upon arrival there was a plate of fruit and bottles of water left out for us. I also liked the comfy sun loungers with sun visors there was plenty of availability for them. The downside to the hotel are the fact you get kicked out of the main restaurant on Saturday's so that wedding receptions can take place. It might be a savvy business idea to have weddings, conferences and seminars at regular intervals but it isn't great from the hotel guests point of view. Having to endure the heavy beat of the live wedding band, screaming kids running around & messing with both the lifts - not great! I have to say that on the whole I personally enjoyed the food & found plenty of variety although I have to agree with others that it was lukewarm at best. On a couple of ocassions even the fresh hot food that came out was in fact stone cold. Entertainment for hotel guests was live entertainment on Saturday, Tuesday & Thursday and was good, it was a young man playing keyboard, backing tracks and songing. It was unfortunate that on the second Saturday the young man was ill and there was no alternative entertainment provided which was a great shame. Would I return - no

Nice views, great seaside location in a nice resort. Let down by a poor dining experience with little choice unless you are a Pork lover Salads were ok but always the same cold cuts and cheeses. Yes there was intermittent show cooking but only of the same Meat/Fish that were available from the Buffet. Most of the so called ‘hot’ dishes were more cold than hot Desserts followed the same pattern of repeat-repeat with sponge cake and fruits . Housekeeping was poor and general maintenance appeared poor. Pool Area was ok but work is needed to the lower terrace- the pictures here on Trip Advisor are flattering to say the least. Be aware that September/October is Wedding Season for this Hotel and if u are staying here over the weekend you will be barred from the Buffet Restaurant ( they don’t do you the courtesy of telling you until 7am with a message on the doors) and whilst there is an alternative feeding station provided your eardrums will be assaulted with horrific disco pounding music for most of the day. Would I go to this Hotel again- no I would not- is it a 4 star- no it is not. Montenegro though is lovely

To be clear, I would have rated at 3 star except for the transfer from Dubrovnik. This was a Saga holiday, 06.45 flight out of Gatwick, then we find the transfer to to the hotel is 3 hours. Too much after an early start and the return trip is almost as bad. Delays at the border from Croatia, and then for customs. If you are offered a Dubrovnik flight, run a mile. The only sensible route is to Tivat airport which is 40 minutes up the road. The hotel - pleasant, a bit old fashioned. Service generally ok. We had the Saga rep called Dragan and he was excellent. Location is on the promenade which is smart. The bay is lovely although not much in the way of shops. Plenty of eateries but we were all inclusive. The room - good sea view, room looked smart but the electrics were of concern, insufficient plugs for the lights and in strange locations, some stray cables. TV reception was poor, only BBC World and Sky News in English, but that is no big deal. Bathroom was big with a good shower although it did tend to flood the floor a bit. Cleaning was a bit erratic, and that is being polite. The food - a big letdown. Large and pleasant dining room with a big buffet. Salad bar was very good. Main course options were always luke warm at best, nearer cold sometimes. The trouble is that there seemed to be pretty well the same at every meal. A couple of fish options, always with the bones left in. Braised beef, chicken and pork options which did not excite the appetite. Show cooking a couple of times a week, but it seemed to be almost the same as what was in the buffet. Sweet course was very disappointing, mainly little squares cut from tray bakes. Ice cream only on offer one day in three. There was plenty of fruit available breakfast, lunch and dinner. Weddings - it seems in September they have weddings up to once a week, and these are big with hundreds of guests. It means residents get kicked out of the main dining room to a smaller room with poor disability access. The alternative is to walk 200m up the hill to a sister hotel. You don’t find out about this until a couple of days before. Getting about - we hired a car through reception. Seemed a bit overpriced, and watch out for hotel car park charges which peaked at a steep 15 Euros a day. Went to Kotor, busy but excellent, Tivat, Budva and SkAdar. Main roads are busy and everyone drives a bit on the slow side so you get long convoys. But the side roads are awful, twisty, narrow and bumpy. The maps suggest you can use them but you soon learn not to. Montenegro has a spectacular coast. It is a poor country (although a lot better than Albania down the road) and the infrastructure can be weak. If you fly to Tivat and are prepared to rough it a bit then you can have a decent holiday.

Wanted to give an extra star but upon reflection 2 is being generous. Day 1- nice clean hotel but all the staff are so serious and not very friendly. We're the only English speaking family that we can make out. Food in the restaurant luke warm at best and poor quality. This was to be the theme every night. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the only drink you could get in the restaurant was water!!! I mean seriously who actually turns off the coffee and juice machines. Gulag quality restaurant. Day 2/3- nothing going on in the hotel really. No animation team, no kids club, no entertainment at all. Wife had fish on day three and spent next 2 days on toilet and throwing up...on the verge of calling a doctor. I spent same night feeling awful. Day 4/6- Took to eating out after minor nibbles in restaurant. Much more variety on the promenade with great views. Medusas opposite the hotel was very good with great views. Awesome live band and amazing fireworks on the promenade Saturday night. Took to kayaking, peddle boats and jet ski out to the church on the island. Great walk to neighbouring beachs with lots happening. The only positive I can mention about the hotel is the spa...at 5 euros for use of the sauna, jacuzzi, rainforest showers we thought that OK (the Turkish bath was broken every day we went). The irony is i was going to pay 150 euros for my wife to have a full massage/ treatments but she was so ill from the dodgy food we had to give it a miss. Day 7- had enough of the hotel and couldn't wait to come home. Petrovac is a gorgeous place but we won't ever be coming back to Montenegro based on this extremely poor experience. Whoever made the management descion to only serve water at evening meal needs a serious talking to...enough said.

You pay 2000€ for the hotel with a „private beach“ (that the guests of the hotel have to pay for but even that would be okay if the circumstances would be okay) and then the beach is crowded with people from other hotels that lay in front of the water with their towels (because they don’t want to pay for the sunbeds) so you can‘t enter the beach because of them as they are in your way.
