We stayed for one night, good sized room and bathroom, neat, tidy and clean. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Both evening meal and inclusive breakfast were first class. The newly decorated areas are contemporary, working well with the 18th century building. I left my bag by reception when checking out and the manager came running out with... More

Brandon house looks imposing from the road but inside is there is a welcoming smile. The staff is definitely the jewel in this tired crown. The food was very good and the room large and very presentable. The decor around the hotel is a little tired. We have had 3 good breakfasts and an evening meal and both were excellent.... More

I had to leave each morning before breakfast was served, so I'm afraid I can't speak for the dining room or the food - or the main house at all, since I was staying in one of the annexe apartments. The accommodation was ideal for me though - I had two dogs with me (made very welcome!) and the apartment... More

My husband & I recently enjoyed our fifth, annual stay at this hotel. We were very warmly greeted (like friends of long standing) by the manageress. We had a commitment in the next village so we have always chosen this hotel for its convenience. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfasts were really "hearty" & when the... We stayed in the upstairs of the annexe with our two teenage children and it was brilliant, we had our own kitchen and bathroom and were self-contained in the annexe. The food in the restaurant on the Saturday was great value for money, huge portions and despite the fact the kitchen lost some lighting we feel they did a fantastic... More

Typical quaint old English small town hotel. Clean and comfortable with good amenities. Friendly, helpful young ladies working reception, restaurant and bar. Reception closed 2300-0700. Free breakfast. No air conditioning so room was a bit warm in the afternoons. Opening the windows helped but picked up some road noise but not intolerable. Young boys in the bar could get a... More

A lovely warm welcome on arrival from Claire, the very friendly but efficient Hotel Manageress. Realising we were staying 3 days she upgraded us, free of charge, to one of the larger rooms at the back of the hotel. Room was nicely decorated and appeared to have been recently refurbished. Two problems in the room was that there wasn't a... More
