Quality Bunkhouse. Good sized rooms with seating area. Bedding and towels provided. Indoor bike storage. Two bathrooms. Excellent meal provided and good friendly bar. Directly on the Way of the Roses cycle route and a short walk into the village. Cant fault it.

Our first visit to Harefield was for their Harefest festival when we completely fell in love with the place so when we were looking for somewhere to get married there was no contest it had to be Harefield Hall. From the very moment we enquired until we left the day after our wedding we received nothing less than five star... More

Great Hotel and Restaurant Staff very friendly and Courteous. We were very relieved to be able to get a room after just turning up on our way North. However sitting the children down and enjoying a chilled bottle of Wine we were reliably informed that children indeed weren't allowed in the hotel and they would have to implement a surcharge... Hi Kevin Thank you for your positive comments stating that the Hotel and Restaurant are 'Great' and Staff friendly and Courteous, it is a shame however that you have rated us only as average on account of you not being happy with our policy regarding children. May I point out that at no point did you disclose that you had... More

We returned after a year, a party of nine for dinner and the evening did not disappoint, Sitting on the sunny terrace looking over to the hills with a pre dinner drink was then followed by a fantastic dinner served in the restaurant, The service was excellent, the house white and red was more than palatable . We returned to... More

Spent the weekend at Harefield Hall for a family wedding. It was absolutely perfect. The staff couldn't do enough for us, especially the owners and the manager who were wonderful and did everything they could to make it a perfect experience for the whole wedding party! They made the bride and groom feel very special! I've no idea how many... More

I was cycling the coast to coast route through Pateley Bridge. Arrived 3pm, the time it stated it was open for new arrivals. Banged on the door and rang the bell. No response. 30 mins later I phoned the hotel with my mobile and got a very prompt response and lots of apologies for not hearing the door bell. The... More

James, having read your review we are all very frustrated by it as it is so unfair and in places simply not true. Elaine and I let you in at approximately 3.05pm after you rang the bell, so we're not sure and genuinely confused regarding your comments to the contrary. You also stated on your booking form that you were... More

Visited 2nd weekend of May in a group of 12 cyclists. Everything here is to be applauded as we could not have been better looked after. I apologise that I cannot remember the name of the young gent that checked us in and basically looked after us but, what a shining example of great customer service. Nothing was too much... More

This place has a bunkhouse attached to the hotel which serves high quality food and breakfast. As a cycling group, we had booked the bunk house. Unfortunately, the beds were very wobbly and sleeping well on the top bunk was difficult. Some of the mattresses were of very poor quality - lumpy and no warmth in them. Also, we were... More

Hi "Bizzi_Izzi" thanks for the review. Our bunkhouse is only a few years old, having being fully refurbished to a high standard, with max rated insulation, brand new metal framed bunk beds and quality mattresses, hence your comments regarding them being 'wobbly and mattresses lumpy' has left us rather baffled. Since reading your comments we have checked every bed and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Harefield Hall is an over 18's, non-corporate family run guest house. Situated in 24 acres of woodland overlooking the Nidd Valley it is the perfect place to come and relax. Our restaurant offers a wide range of bar meals and A-la-carte meals all very reasonably priced. We off a range of accommodation from Large Double rooms with beautiful views over the Valley to small double rooms, some with views and some 'budget' small doubles without views. Harefield Hall, once rumoured to belong to King Henry XIII has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and we cater for all occasions. We also have a modern bunkhouse which sleeps up to 14 people, with two rooms, showers and changing rooms. This is very popular for cycling groups and walkers who are looking for the chance to stay in a wonderful setting without the big price tag. We have adequate free parkinng which is covered by cctv. Our friendly staff are waiting to welcome you. ... more   less
