We just spent 2 weeks with our 2 teenagers and did really enjoy this lovely and charming residence within Tuscany countryside. A spacious and fully equipped apartment in very typical house, 2 large pools, a tasty even if expensive restaurant and very nice staff. Have in mind you in countryside quite far from main points of interests, the car always needed. Nevertheless the Borgo di Colleoli resort is perfect for having a rest or even for weddings ceremonies (we enjoyed 2 during our stay ).
The resort looked fabulous in itself like a castle Very remote location Parking 600m away The apartment was mouldy, damp, like a prison cell w one sm barred window The plaster was falling off the walls The tv was perched on the fridge in the kitchen I booked 4 weeks stayed 1 day
Stayed for 7 nights in June. Superb Accomodation and lovely setting. Definitely need a car. All staff very good friendly and made you very welcome. Dennis was a great help in recommending restaurants and organising a wine tasting. Made this a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you
I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in. Beautiful scenery on the pictures doesn’t even give this place justice without seeing it with your own eyes. We were there with our 2 kids and my brother’s family. All of us had an amazing time. I saw a wedding ceremony while we were there and just thought I want to marry my husband here under the sun of Tuscany…So the nice staff helped me quickly organize a wonderful surprise to my husband with a set up under the sunset, where we renewed our wedding wows. Absolutely recommend this if you want to make your vacation unforgettable!
A converted villa and olive farm form the basis for this hotel. Each room is unique either a suite, 1 or 2 bed apartment. They are not pristine with new furniture or fittings but are much more homely and with character. 2 great pools, one with wonderful views of the surrounding hills. The location is about 40 mins drive from Pisa airport in the hills which ensures tranquility. There is a restaurant on site, one other just outside and 4-5 very good ones 5 minutes drive away (or 30 mins walk). The staff were excellent, always very helpful giving great advice, in particular Jakopa was really helpful.
About 40 minutes out of Pisa and a little longer to Florence this resort is a collection of rooms, apartments and a restaurant housed in ancient buildings in a beautiful peaceful setting. The apartments are lovely and well equipt. The front desk staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I Secoli Restaurant has a great menu for dinner and lunch. There is a beautiful buffet breakfast each morning with especially kind staff. Also a Pizza restaurant just outside the property as well.
Colleoli is an oasis of detente and relaxation with flowers, blue sky, birds singing, beautiful sunset.... Just the perfect environnement to renew yourself. Out of city trafic, you may need a car if you want to visit Tuscany cities and beauties. Everyone from the reception to the breakfast with Rita and Sabrina to the Italien dinner are there to satisfy your needs. Well most of your needs. Karma Italy is young and I am sure that many things will improve in a close future. Anyways, I spend 2 perfect weeks meeting people on the premise.
Spent a week here at the beginning of April which was out of season so the pool and restaurant were closed however, Dennis and Dean ensured that we had everything we needed so that we had a comfortable stay (and breakfast). Dennis was very knowledgeable and gave us some very helpful advice on where to visit and eat. He tailored these to suit our needs and likes. The room was spacious, had everything we needed plus a jacuzzi bath tub. It had high ceilings and was tastefully decorated. We even had a library (with working record player) that we could use to socialise in. Dennis and Dean organised a pleasant cheese and wine evening so we were able to meet the other guests and a merry time was had by all. The extensive grounds were beautifully maintained and the views of the Tuscan hills were enchanting. The buildings were varied as the rooms probably are too. The town is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Thank you Dennis for organising the wine tasting and the lovely meal recommendations. We will be returning.…
What a beautiful old house with lots of character and history. The setting of this hotel is beautiful, up high in a little quiet Tuscan town. The apartment was furnished well and was very comfortable. The only issue I had was that there was not a lot of normal plug points? Bed was comfortable and we slept well there every night. It was a pity that the onsite restaurant was closed for lunch or dinner as it was the start of Autumn as we would have liked to have had meals on site but I do understand that it was the quiet season.
Myself and my wife got married in Borgo di Colleoli in August 2021. We were blown away by the beauty of the tuscan hills surrounding the venue. The apartments are stunning, and all designed differently which is an added bonus (all have air con🥳). Our guests had booked almost all the rooms (we had 96 guests in total) and this gave us the chance to see many different apartments. Every single one we saw were designed to a really high standard. The feedback from our guests was very positive. Irene (the manager) and the reception staff Allesandro and Illaria were amazing to work with! Everything we had asked for was done, and they were so friendly. Irene was also our wedding planner, and I would highly recommend her to other couples as she is so friendly, caring and she did an amazing job to use different areas of the Borgo for the various events. The night before the wedding, we had a pizza party on a terrace beside the large pool. She organised long white tables and chairs that were beautifully decorated. The chef and catering team served cold cuts, salads and pizzas. We had music from a local man (that Irene recommended) and he really got the guests in the party mood. By the end of the evening, we were all singing and dancing together. A super start to the event. The following day was the wedding. We had the mass at 2.30 and afterwards, Irene had welcome drinks on the lawn overlooking the rolling hills. Canopè's, cheeses, cured meats etc were served with wine and beer. At 6.30 we had our dinner in the courtyard, where we ate jerusalem artichoke risotto, then a pork ragu and finally fillet steak. The food was out of this world, and the wine and beer was flowing. At 9pm, we made our way to the patio beside the big pool for the after party. Guti and simone (Musicians) were set up there and there was a bar with 3 lovely staff to accomodate us. We danced the night away and had a sing-song into the early hours. Irene was on-site for much of the night to help make sure everything ran smoothly (I could not thank her enough). Irene also recommended our photographer (dominico) who we were delughted with, and organised hair and make-up for the ladies. All in all, we had the most wonderful wedding, and I would not hesitate to recommend any other couples to use this as a wedding destination. Irene and her team worked so hard to make it special for us, and for that we are forever grateful. Keith…
