We first visited this restaurant in the eighties not long after Alain Renaudin , the Chef-Propietor had taken it over. It was therefore a great pleasure to revisit the Hotel and to find that Monsieur Renaudin was still there and maintaining the high standard that we had encountered all those years ago. The menu at 45 euros is very good...

I take exception to the reviewer who gave Monsieur Alain a bad review. We had come off our le boat charter from Auxerre to wander through the town of Vincelles. We asked at the boulangerie to recommend a place for dinner and we were told everything was closed for the season. We wandered over the bridge to Vencelottes and happened...

We only ate here one evening so cannot comment about it as an hotel, but we ate in a lovely dining room. We think there were other rooms for dining. You can also sit outside on the opposite side of a quiet road under canopies overlooking the River Yonne. The building is attractive and in a good position in a...

Lovely location but ghastly proprietor who has no idea about how to make customers feel welcome. All he wanted to do was lay down rules about where we could sit, (where it suited him not us!) park our bicycles, and after we decided the menu was limited, expensive and decided to leave he shouted insults at us. All in all...

We were introduced to this lovely Auberge last year, thoroughly enjoyed our visit and couldn't wait to come back with friends to enjoy it again.. and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by our host, and chef, Alain, who is charming with a most wonderful sense of humour. One couple had a lovely double room in the main building...

Travelling through Burgundy, we knew of the Restaurant here in an idyllic setting by the river and were very pleased to find there were rooms as well. We were given a very warm welcome, had an excellent meal on the terrace by the river, a very comfortable night and good breakfast. We will certainly return

He informed me that he had a very enjoyable night. He informed me that the chef was very informative about each course they...

We first visited thirty years ago and have revisited several times in recent years. The surroundings are beautiful and tranquil. The patron is welcoming and speaks very good English (I believe he speaks even better German). There is a terrace across the road on the bank of the Yonne where meals are served in the summer and even during our...

This restaurant is situated in a lovely spot beside the Yonne. We were a group of four Australians travelling by barge through this region and thought it would be a lovely place for dinner. After being seated and given menus we were not acknowledged for almost half an hour until Alain came over. He does "guide" you towards his specials...
