Had a very lovely evening , we chatted a little with the owners who were very kind to offer us a delicious homemade gliko, slow food at its best standarts . Clean rooms with perfect location, would come again
During our first visit to Albania, my wife and I, went through Permeti and chose Hotel Alvero. We arrived quite late and the owners of the hotel (see annexed picture) met us and spent a long time to tell us everithing from - where we can go and still have a nice meal, to through where and how to continue our trip. They were so nice! finally we chose the an upgraded room which they offerd us. It was very confortable and were sad to leave them. For sure we'll return there on our next trip! Thank you Vasillaq!
Being a tourist guide is a responsibility to choose the right places where to eat and sleep is well. Each year I visit Permet, I love it more and more, especially with the new transformation of the town.Hotel Alvero for sure makes the difference in Permet, not just the location that is best one with a great view over the river and city centre, but the breakfast for sure is a very healthy one with full of varieties from local products like slow Permet. Don't forget to try the glikos and raki! Hospitality always is very welcome not just at the hotel but all around town.
We came to Permet to do a rafting with Albanian Rafting group and we stayed at Hotel Alvero. The family's son Demitri was a very servical host and helped us with all our necessities. If we return to Permet we will try to stay again at hotel Alvero. Highly recommended.
Hotel Alvero in Permeti stayed in one of two huge suites, the bed sheet was in a beautiful fan design but had to make my own bed and mid way through the night needed a cover which I eventually found in one of many cupboards Bathroom has glass door so lets in too much light and thin bright red curtains. Lovely view over the river but the best view is actually from the bathroom Main power went off at 0900 so no A/C or hairdryer which meant I had to ask for it to be put back on Plastic slippers (flip flops) were provided but I question the hygiene of continued use by many guests The hotel is run by a couple who, despite other reviews do not speak very good English. The food here was not very good either for evening ,meal or for breakfast. The salad had been left around for a while and the tomatoes had soaked up all the opil and gone soggy, the pork was dry and had ben reheated and the ‘baked potatoes’ were swimming in oil. Breakfast choice was very limited, there is no hot choice, no fruit, strong bitter coffee, bread that had been cut into small pieces, no pastries but a small biscuit in a cellophane wrap. The local jams were however excellent, especially the walnut one and the fig one.…
