The rooms are clean and have air conditioner which a good thing. However they have bad food and the customer care is also poor. Staff complain about customers who are still at the restaurant loudly, generally wouldn't come back. Customer care is key for me
Not sure why Trip Advisor only has reviews for Sankofa Café for restaurants in Lira? The restaurant at Lillian Towers Hotel is the best one we found in town and is staffed by friendly servers. Oriental Chicken is a good choice is their menu as is their T-Bone steak (not grilled but fried with onions and gravy prepared in a local style). Lillian Towers also boasts some of Lira's coldest beers. Stayed 2 weeks at the hotel which was OK considering Lira's remoteness.
Honestly I was not expecting much but very happy to be proven wrong! The rooms were clean and had air conditioning which is needed. The lighting could be better but it was fine for a couple of nights. The food at the hotel is quite expensive and the breakfast choices could be better but overall I would recommend this as a good option in Lira.
Stayed here for 3 nights during a business visit. I had a nice and spacious room. The room, sheets and bathroom were clean and the shower warm. According to Africa style the wall outlet was hanging loose and the shower was also spilling water at places it shouldn’t. In every hotel you’ll find stuff broken or just not finished liked your used to from (in my case) western European standard. So I won’t let that influence my judgement. The staff was very friendly, the food good. The breakfast very poor. There’s some fruit, toast with jam, juice, milk and cornflakes. They have an outside sitting area which is nice during the day and evening. It’s very central in the city, though not noisy ore anything. A good place to stay.
A lovely stay in Lilian towers, very friendly staff who were always helpful. Lovely evening meals and nice spot for a drink on the terrace watching the world go by. Comfortable room, if basic, but good beds.
