Lovely hotel with a ‘changing chef’ restaurant whereby every week in July and August a different up and coming chef takes over.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and have room fans (as there is no a/c).
The sauna is available to women 5-6pm then men 6-7pm. There’s a wonderful boardwalk to the water’s edge and the water was lovely!
Breakfast is substantial (we had the tray of fruit, bread, cheese etc followed by bowls of freshly-cooked porridge, yoghurt and scrambled eggs) for €10.
A wonderful stay!

Every time I visit this place they seem to top the previous visit. Awesome views, good sauna, top of the notch drinks and good athmosphere. This time, in the reastaurant they had a line-up headed by chef Erno Kemi and it blew my mind! Innovative dishes just kept on coming! And did I mention about the service? Waitresses with smiles brighter than the sun. Summer vacation 1 on 1 right there people! Highly recommended!

Absolutely the best restaurant in archipelago area. We have visited there once a year during our sailing IVacation for four years: different chefs, always excellent food with nice service and good admosphere. Worthwhile to take trip there

We were on a cycling tour and stayed here two nights. The location on a lake was magical. The staff were very friendly. We had a sauna and really enjoyed jumping in to the lake. Our room was cute, small ,but very clean. The only downside was the window opened over the bed - a tad dangerous.
The restaurant features guest chefs. Whilst we enjoyed the food it was perhaps not up to the standard we had hoped. On our second day we had a big lunch in the village and cheese and crackers for dinner.

Lovely hotel with warm and kind personnel. Peaceful location by the sea. Felt like visiting in a Mrs. Marple movie etc. Very nice small room, excellent dinner and breakfast. Dogs allowed. Would visit again for sure for atmosphere and food.

We were booked into Hotel Hyppeis as part of a self-guided cycling tour of the Turku Archipelago, so had no real idea what to expect before we arrived. It was utterly delightful from the moment we arrived and were welcomed by one of the owners, Outi. This old village school has been thoughtfully renovated and decorated in a relaxing, calm but contemporary Finnish style. The room and all the facilities were modern and of a high standard. The food, much of which was home made was of an equally high quality, and included potatoes sourced from an adjacent field earlier in the day and the bread was prepared with wheat from the next island. It's just a pity our trip only allowed us to stay for one night. Highly recommended.

We had a truly beautiful 2 nights at Hyppeis Vardshus. Beautiful meals, room, scenery, hospitality, forest walks, flowers, wild strawberries, crops growing, information on the life, talking with locals. I thought everything would close over winter, but our hosts’ eyes lit up when we mentioned winter. We were told of skating on the iced over water, all the activities that opened up because it was winter. It was all I had expected and more.

We had a absolutely fantastic three course dinner at this place this evening. Charming building (old school) and very nice personnel made our dinner to a really good experience.
You can reach this place either by boat or by your own car.
It’s located direct to the water and at warm evenings it’s perfect to have a cup of coffee outside after dinner.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in May 2018. We chose it because it seemed like a good location to split our drive through the archipelago ring route. The inn has new owners and they are very pleasant and are working hard to add amenities to the property. The thing that most impressed us was how peaceful and serene the location is. We spent a couple hours sipping prosecco on a patio overlooking the water and the new dock and it was so relaxing. The hostess cooked us a nice homestyle meal for dinner and the breakfast had many selections and was quite tasty. The room we chose had a view of the water and was perfect for our needs. We understand that chefs from other restaurants in Finland will be coming to cook at the inn during the summer. We would definitely recommend staying here and if we ever return to the area we would stay here again for sure!

On the archipelago cycling route there is a little, but very cozy and charming countryside hotel - renovated of the old school building - to stay overnight, have sauna and swim, as well as fine dining level dinner. Warmly recommend !
