Hotel Nestor is named after the last farmer here on the property, and my great grandfather, Nestor Johansén. The property belongs to the farm Arvids-Västergård, which dates back to the early 1700s. Hotel Nestor is today run as a family business and was founded in 2009 artist Pia Rousku and Industry Designer Frank Hellgren. Now the hotel is owned and run by their son William Hellgren, who became a part of the hotel business in 2016 when he opened the restaurant Back Pocket in the building’s renovated barn. Every room here at Nestor has a special character: different in size and style we give you the possibility to choose the room that best adapts to your needs.

Five star restaurant
Awesome place! A lovely little, cosy hotel with an excellent restaurant.
You can not get better food in a big city Michelin star restaurant. The food is simply amazingly high class and tasteful. The chef expresses himself through this food like art. We ate the tasting menu and I can recommend it with all my heart.
Enjoyable atmosphere, professional service.
We stayed in the familyroom and it was clean and functional. A bit hot at least in winter but beds were comfortable. Large internet-tv. Excellent breakfast. I have never eaten so good porriadge with blueberries.
My tip is to test this restaurant during winter, off-season. It is just as good quality and it is easier to get table. In the summer you are lucky to get a reservation.

The hotel looked nice, and our family room was spacious and tastefully decorated with scandinavian style. The rooms are upstairs, and breakfast area downstairs. The surrounding neighbourhood is very peaceful. Unfortunately the owner does not seem as passionate about managing the hotel as his adjacent perfect restaurant. The only really functioning service was lovely and tasteful breakfast, which though on a third day felt a bit repetitive.
Service was friendly but fully passive. We stayed for three days and there was no cleaning in the rooms for the whole stay. No trashbins were emptied, no beds made. No linen changed. No one asked how we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Reception was attended every now and then, with a phone number for contact and questions. There was enough water in the shower, but the hand washing basin did not drain well.
All in all, lovely surroundings and a nice place, nicely situated if you have a car. Just very little service, considering the place was called a hotel.

We did have lunch and 6 courses dinner. Both were super good, actually the best food I have had. Also the breakfast was so good! The restaurant is worth of visit any time. Also the winter time is magical. The host was very friendly and we felt welcome there.

The location of the hotel is the best. It was wonderful to wake up in the middle of the countryside on a summer morning. Rooms are brightly decorated and have a very good overall look. The building is well kept and sympathetic. Breakfast is served directly at the table and consists of fresh ingredients. Customer service is staffed by young adults and the service is very friendly and relaxed. The hotel’s private beach is definitely the highlight of the place. On the pier next to the cliffs you can relax in complete silence surrounded by nature. Only but significant flaws in the hotel are the room equipment. Mini fridge in our room was broken and we did get it intact as long as we carried it downstairs to our room. Ventilation was non-existent which made our room awkwardly hot at the end of the day and in addition the bed was the loudest where we had ever slept. Metal frame kept making loud noise with even the slightest movement so we hardly got to sleep in bed. This should definitely be fixed by the hotel. Our overall rating of the hotel is still fairly positive.

A really cosy small hotel in a beautiful surrounding. A real hidden gem with an excellent restaurant. I can warmly recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone who is looking for some peace in the arcipelago and excellent locally produced food! The tasting menu with paired wines is just great.

The telly was really slow. The rooms athmospheric and individual, clean and well-maintained, spacious too. Really tasty and unique brekky. We were well catered even though it was the quiet season. Nice walk to the "beach". A bit surprised that the only dinner option was the 6 course degustation, but thats another story :)

This is a lovely setting on the Finish island of Korpo. Large rooms which are well maintained though minimalist. The building has nice art work which is great if you like that, but then that is also the downside to this place. Towels for instance were a lovely colour which went with the room perfectly but hard and fairly rough to use. The large eating area was lovely and made a great setting for breakfast but there was no kettle or tea and coffee to make a drink at other times- perhaps it would detract from the look. Perhaps I am showing my lack of culture. It is a lovely place and I have still given it a 'very good' rating but a little more practicality would have given it five stars.

Really beautiful hotel refurnished with style. Excellent breakfast and good beds. Spacious rooms. We really enjoyed our stay!
In addition we had an excellent 3-course dinner in the restaurant from local producers. Definitely a place to visit!

Hotel Nestor is easily one of the most relaxed, comfortable and picturesque places I’ve stayed. It is a very tastefully converted and extended barn on the pleasant island of Korpo in the Turku Archipelago. We had our 1 year old baby with us and stayed for 5 nights. The room was enormous (Siska) and there are great kitchen facilities which we were welcome to use. In front of the hotel there is a gorgeous patio area where we sat in the evenings looking out over the fields at some of the art installations made by Pia (owner) and various other artists. There is a very atmospheric old 1950’s sauna in a separate building next to the wood-cutting grove. We hired bikes and Frank (Pia’s husband) arranged for us to hire a bicycle trailer for the baby so we could cycle round the island. The owners were very hospitable without being overwhelming and gave us good tips on beaches and places to visit. If there is a downside it is that the island and the hotel are very quiet so to enjoy this place you have to be looking for a very chilled holiday.
