Booked for one night, the hotel is acceptable for the price with no excitements, friendly, but not very helpfull staff. The room is a good size, but with outdated carpet.

Lovely hotel in a peaceful location. We stayed in the main building which is an old coaching inn . Very nice room, quite big with good facilities. The only downside was that the en-suite was a bit dated and the water wasn't very hot.
Having stayed at the Lambert previously and held our daughters wedding there, we were very disappointed with the 'new' Mercure Lambert.

Yes there is the Oxford Tube which runs from London to Victoria to Oxford about every fifteen minutes or so. The stop you require is 'Lewknor' and the stop is about 300 metres from the hotel although for some of the way... More
