We decided to take a walk to the old mill which has recently been taken over particularly as its dog friendly. Atmosphere and friendliness excellent. Food was a little disappointing. Presentation was very good, but quality of beef was poor, two beef ciabatta rolls and 3 roast

I used to love a visit to The Old Mill, it was a beautiful little pub with a great atmosphere and lovely staff. It was renowned for serving great quality, homemade food, often with an impressive specials board which was always a real treat all around. Alas, this is no more.

Stayed in the Old Mill Hotel for 2 nights in a double room with ensuite. On arriving at the pub/hotel we were greeted politely and made to feel welcome. Explained about the key and breakfast. We were also shown up to our room by the owner. This is an old pub with rooms

All of our meals were of a very poor standard and extremely over priced! I will never go back nor recommend it to anyone. We had to ring to confirm the booking on several occasions as they never got back to us. Presumed it was because they were so busy, only us in the place.

Hi Tracy, sorry have not eaten at The Wickstead, but some other places that have good food are The Bhurtpore at Aston, the Thatch at Faddiley, and The Farmers Arms at Ravensmoor (really big portions)which are all in close proximity to Nantwich. Have good holiday, regards Janet.

HI Tracey. we do indeed take over on 21st (getting excited now) However we are not starting food until saturday 26th as we need to ensure we can meet the standards that we wish to achieve. It is with great regret that i have to inform you that we therefore can not honor your booking for thursday 24th. I am informed that if you contact Group on they will refund your purchase or suggest an alternative venue. We have agreed to honor some expired vouchers but obviously in this case we can't do this for you given time and travel restrictions. I am sorry i cant be more accommodating but if you have any problems or you feel i can be of further assistance please dont hesitate to call me on 07482710686. kind regards pete
