Stayed here on business in the summer and it was more than I had expected. The house itself commands a wonderful view of Stonehaven and is surrounded by a pretty garden. Stonehaven itself is a short walk from the property where there are lovely little cafes and even an outdoor swimming pool. The room I stayed in was full of... More

Orchardhill House is a fabulous period property in a quiet part of Stonehaven within walking distance of the harbour. We arrived on 2 motorbikes which Jill kindly allowed us to park overnight in her garage before letting us pick which room we wanted to stay in (we arrived before the other guests) and serving us a much needed pot of... We stayed here in June 2014. Our room was very comfortable and the window looked out on a patio. Jill is a lovely and quirky hostess and made us feel right at home. There is also a little garden patio at the front of the house where we ate our lunch overlooking the town and out to the sea. The... More

Stayed for two nights, mainly to visit Aberdeen by train – which worked well, especially as we liked Stonehaven a lot. Reckon we were lucky our first choice B&B (nearer the station and ranked higher) was full, because it couldn’t have suited us better than Orchardhill. Jill’s single storey house is comfortable, stylishly furnished and relaxed. We had the double... More

My sister and I from Norway stayed at Orchardhill House for two nights in August. It was a lovely house, clean and comfortable, all you needed in the bathroom as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel of best quality. Lovely flannels/towels. Breakfast had a good variety. The fruittable was excellent. Jill was very helpful and kind. We can recommend B & B... More

My sister and I really enjoyed staying here for our night in Stonehaven. Jill was very accomodating - letting us leave our bags in the house while we explored the city and walked to the castle after our checkout time. The bedroom was large and the bathroom was beautiful. It was nice to have a big space after so many... More

This was a very nice B&B and we had a comfortable stay here. I think the price was a bit high given the other comparable B&Bs we stayed at during our trip. (Also given that the breakfast was continental not cooked.) Our hostess was also a bit flighty, but everything was arranged to our satisfaction in the end. While the... More

We stayed only one night in this excellent B & B. On our arrival Jill made us feel very welcome, she is a wonderful host! Jill gave us some great tips on places to visit. We had a spacious bed- and bathroom. The house is beautifully decorated and clean. And the view is amazing! Quiet location, but within walking distance... More

Pros: - Good location in town. We walked from the train station with our bags to the B&B and it only took us about 10min. - The owner, Jill, is really friendly and kind. She went out of her way to find bus schedules for us, including calling the town's tourist information office on our behalf. Jill also had a... More

We stayed in this b&b for 3 nights during our trip in Scotland. The attention of our host was excellent from the first moment, letting us choose between the two available rooms. Although both were beautiful, ours was very luminous and had a very wide shower in the ensuite bathroom. The bed and the double duvet as well as the... More
