The hotel is about 1 hour and 45 min away from the Samana airport. Its in a secluded area of Las Galeras. The beach at the property and near by (Rincon beach) are beautiful and bit more rustic than your larger destinations (ie. punta cana). Probably some of the nicest beaches i've been to. The water at hotel is shallow, not a lot of waves and great for kids to play. Its tropical, so it rains for 5 minutes here and there. Generally very good weather, even though its their winter. We travelled with 3 small children and this hotel was excellent for a relaxing vacation with the kids. We stayed at a villa facing the beach which was part of their 'select club'. If I come again, I would do the same thing. The select club offers some features, including a select club bar which offers great lunch options (~12pm – ~4pm). The villa was nice but the washroom wasn’t great. Water pressure is low, but we worked with it. The hotel is relatively small, maybe about 250 rooms. Takes 5 minutes to walk from one end to the other, which is nice. Again, ideal with small kids. The hotel has a lot of potential, some areas more renovated than others. Food is just ok. Main buffet offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Select club bar offers great lunch. There are several a la cartes, but its essentially the same food quality as the buffet, packaged differently. Not a ton of selection, but what you can find something you like. We did 3 a la cartes the first the days, then settled on the buffet for variety. This is likely closer to a 3.5 star (somewhere between 3.5 and 4) hotel with an amazing beach. I would say the ‘select club’ is a must, worth the fee. Staff were inconsistent in terms of service and friendliness, overall it was good, not great. Everyone seemed to have working English, some better than others. Other visitors mostly made up of Russians (~60%), Germans (~10%), French (~10%), Canadians (~10%) and Dominicans / Latin (~10%). Show in the evening isn’t anything special, low budget, but the kids loved it. A for effort and passion. Starts at about 915pm everyday. I would go back to this hotel with kids again (with select club and ocean “view” villa). The beach, size of property and location of villas are ideal and offset some of the wrinkles on this hotel.

Amazing all inclusive resort far from the civilization. Nice room, the pool, and a wonderful beach just a few steps from the room. The food wasn't all good the whole time I stayed there, especially the snack bar with cold food without service the fries cold, that wasn't good at all. One night they set up the buffet with selected guests in front of the beach and that was amazing, the lights, the background music and the food was excellent.

We like the spacious room with a balcony garden sea view. The breakfast was extensive but most of the day they ran out of butter and fruit jam...small supply of yoghurt as well, you have to be quick to get one. The place itself is very impressive paradise !!  Tranquil private beachfront, idyllic landscape, off the beaten pathway to small town of las galeras!  just a perfect location with their clean facilities that definitely raises it's standard. Restaurant food is good but happens that you have to wait long for your plate, utensils or drinks to bring at your table.  Staff should be more friendly and polite as well, In my opinion.. they are not well trained for a costumer satisfaction drive..they do not know how to address request . . However  the resort manager Samuel was outstanding very friendly and accomodating, had some digital interactions and I'm impressed  I could rely for some critics and personal feedback right away which i guess he could advise the  personnel for better outcome. Thank you so much Samuel and your team ! Great hotel entertainment and animation ! kudos to Edward, the entertainment supervisor for his job !  they care enough about the hotel guest well being, love it when he approached me at the beachfront  if I like the show and music and if the stay is OK. Thank you to Yokasta for her attentive service, she serve us most during dinner and became our favorite girl at the buffet restaurant.. Also Marie, the sweet and hospitabls lady at the restaurant entrance, always has a smile on her face. See you next time Paradise !
