L'Uliveta is a wonderful place. The building is fantastic, the surroundings are idyllic and the location allows for many Tuscany trips.
We stayed in a great beautiful room with a lot of space and amazing floor-plan. We had direct access to the garden and a big bathroom. The bathroom had some amazing sink and mirror, some of the furniture inside the room was antique and beautiful.
Already only for the beauty it offers and the location, it is worth to go, but also the owners are really nice. You cannot help but feel they are a bit on the amateur side (more or that later) but they are extremely nice and helpful.
The downsides are basically negligible: internet doesn't really work (who needs it anyway being there?); the shower, if substituted by a bathtub could make the bathroom go from fantastic to perfect; and the breakfast options are limited. I think you can ask for different options and I'm sure they will provide, but if you are a bit shy, you will find that for example... More
