Miguelina is a talkative woman in the 60´ies. She used to live in Canada, Toronto and is back in DR. She has 3 rooms renting out for travellers. The rooms are big, very clean and one even has its own bathroom and walk in closet. You can use the house if you like. Cost is USD 35 per person including...

I was lucky enought to start off my two week vacation with Miguelina, truly a dynamo of a woman and an inspiration to me. She is full of humor and great info, and her cooking is incredible and so healthy. Stay with her to know the beauty of the DR.

I've known Miguelina for over two years now, and I can say without a doubt, staying at her guesthouse will be the best part of your trip to the Dominican Republic. When we receive student groups in the summer, I make sure to schedule a visit so that they can eat one of her famous home-cooked meals. She prepares a...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days to break up our trip from Santo Domingo to Punta Cana and we loved it! The space is large, clean and cool. We had a large bedroom with a big bathroom and a private balcony. Miguelina is an amazing host - funny, warm and helpful (and an amazing cook!). The...

My husband and I stayed here a few times over two years. It's in the town of Hato Mayor and it's a good alternative to off the beaten path. Very clean and comfortable rooms with Wi-Fi accessibility. Food is very good. Must ask for the squash soup. If I go back to the Dominican I would stay here again for...

We stayed in two very clean and new rooms. One of the rooms has a huge private bath and a nice balcony. We really felt like at home with Michaela, who is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. She is a great cook! We had diner at her kitchentable and the food was delicious. A lot of vegetables...

Miguelina's Guesthouse is at the end of a side street of similarly very large beautiful homes. The street dead ends on large fields with hills in the distance which makes this setting unusually quiet for this town. There is no traffic noise, no constant stream of motorcycles. The house itself is large, cool, comfortably appointed, spotlessly clean. The room I...
