Detailed Reviews
The stay in the hotel was quite disappointing. We first got a room with spiderwebs and three spiders in the ceiling. Thereafter, we got a replacement room with no spiders and just a spiderweb. There was also an empty bottle of water under the bed and a dirty sidetable. It was a horrible start to the weekend. The “wellness” area includes a very small and old pool with a small sauna. It has not been renovated since it has been built. There is no minibar, no room service and no bathrobe etc. which are the requirements for a 4-star hotel. I have no trust in the whole chain and will definitely never stay at Fletcher again. Fortunately we got a number where to call and complain because they had it readily available (I guess they need it often). While we were changing the rooms, two women left the hotel as the conditions were unacceptable... unfortunately we lived too far to leave.
Everything in the hotel is old but our expectations were managed as we read some reviews before. However, a dirty room in a hotel is just not acceptable and it’s the worst 4-star hotel I’ve ever been at.

Im currently staying at this hotel for a business trip.
The hotel room is okay'ish" outdated, really cold.
My thermometer says 17,5 degrees
I can live with that, since im scandinavian.
But the restaurant.
Oh god, out of 76 hotels this year, this is by far the worst yet.
My starter was sort of ok, carpaccio, with truffle creme.
They could have selected a better cheese, perhaps some pine nuts, instead of sunflower.
But it was acceptable.
The maincourse, I selected their "Fletcher burger"
I have never, over the last 5 years with +100 hotels each year, had anything so bad.
the patty was obviously supermarket grade. No flavour, wet inside, and looked more like a wet grey sock.
The bacon looked like it had been microwaved. dripping with fat. And was all white.
The tomato (1 slice of tomato, where it was a third of 1 tomato) was some hours old, as it was really dry and felt like rubber.
1 out of 10, if I had to give it a rating.

Stayed here for one night with a large group visiting Nijmegen. The room was large and comfortable, though it could use some modernization. There was a small balcony offering a very nice view of the outside. I left the window open with the curtains closed overnight to get some colder air in, but wasn't disturbed by either insects or traffic noise. It seems the hotel is in a very calm area. Parking outside was free. The bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and fast.
Our only negative experience was when checking in: this took forever, even though we had booked in advance. I wish the reception staff had been better prepared to receive such a large group, having the keys ready at our arrival.

+1
Worse experience ever. Grumpy service. Disgusting rooms with broken lighting elements. Horrible stained carpets. Broken taps in bathroom. Tasteless breakfast with powder eggs and cheapest marmalade. NEVER again in my life although nice location.

I booked 2 twin rooms via Booking.com to stay at the hotel arriving on 12th August for 3 nights, having stayed there previously in 2016. The location is stunning and the staff are brilliant!! The hotel does need some modernisation, however, as the manager stated, the quality of a hotel should be determined by the attitude of the staff - absolutely spot on!! Although we did not eat in restaurant, from the previous stay, the cuisine for dinner is excellent and the chef who has been at the hotel for many years is usually able to adapt for vegetarians in particular.
Would I stay again and recommend the hotel to others? Definitely!!

Firstly, Nijmegen great place!
Loads of good quality shops bars places to eat.
The July Marching festival.. Sounds boring?.. Best ever, soooo much to do.. What an experience!
Hotel Erica, the only place with availability.
4km outside Nijmegen.
First impressions.. This is ok,
Ground floor, quite well presented, terrace and dinning area ok.. I'm thinking this might not be so bad... The moment you walk to the stairs and lift area.. The whole thing starts to unravel!.. The rooms, well let just say they are NOT luxury, let me explain,.. We have all had hotel rooms that are ..let's say .. On the "tired" side.. These rooms .. Are Rip Van-winkle!!!
Dreadful.
I'm not a moaner so I will not go into the list off moans about what's wrong and how they can improve etc..they are basic and obvious so don't need pointing out.. This review is more just to say to readers don't expect to much and build your hopes up, if you are a complainer .. Then either dodge this place, or if you get off on winging then this is a place that will send you to paradise it would be Disney world for complainers..you'd have the time of you life!!
Positives.
Staff do try hard to be attentive, they are polite.. There are staff better trained than others and they do attempt to make you feel welcomed and looked after
Top tips.. Get the bus if going into the town it is €3 one way u can't get a return, get off at main station it is in the centre.... Avoid cab drivers
They charge on time NOT .. Distance so for a 4 km cab journey I was charged €27!!, another time 22.. The bus is clean and has free wifi.
Breakfast is small selection but is nice and of good quality, morning coffee is decent too.

Beautiful setting for the hotel.
Room a wee bit dated, but clean and beds comfy.
Good choice of continental breakfast, meats, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, croissant etc.
Would definitely consider staying here again

We have just had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The location is idyllic. The staff are friendly. The room was spacious but in need of modernisation. The spray on the shower was weak. We will definitely return

For us this Hotel was a great choice.
We only stayed one night and payed less than 45 Euro per room and the Parking was for free!
The rooms are old but were clean and even had a little balcony which we didn't expect but really liked.
The Reception and all the other Staff we met at the hotel has been extraordinarily nice and friendly.
We also liked the area around the hotel. Lovely wooded site with nice buildings. Not far from the Hotel there are a few museums that are really interesting like th African Musuem or the Oriental Museum.
As the hotel was very good regarding it's price- performance ratio I definitely recommend this place and would come back.

My wife and I were visiting colleagues in Nijmegen and, owing to a large concert, all hotels were booked in that city. We stayed here as a result. It's not close to Nijmegen and it's a 20 euro taxi ride each way. Not so good. However, the hotel is located in the woods which makes it very peaceful place. The included breakfast was very good and served in a lovely dining room with an outdoor patio. I would have preferred to stay in Nijmegen but Hotel Erica made up for its location issue with helpful staff and forested locale.

Haha koelkast, hell no
