Busuanga Bay Lodge, Palawan Resort is part of the integrated resort enclave in Busuanga, Coron, Palawan called Puerto del Sol. We are located in the southwestern part of Busuanga Island, in northern Palawan. You can easily escape from the pressures of city living by a 45-minute flight from key hubs like Manila, Cebu, and Davao - or by an even shorter flight from the provincial capital of Puerto Princesa. Busuanga is rich in biodiversity, and so the resort was envisioned to promote and support such a beautiful natural community. The Bermuda-inspired architecture and the name of our boutique getaway are from the developer's desire to initially create a fishing retreat. However, this activity is only one of many that Busuanga has to offer. Renewable energy and sustainable design are among the key thrusts in the development. Indeed, we have created an oasis in this semi-remote part of Busuanga Island in Palawan by ensuring that guests can enjoy all the modern conveniences onsite as well as have the easiest access to luxury adventures in the area's on-land and underwater attractions. Inside the resort, guests will be pampered with luxurious Spa Services and offered an extensive wine selection from the in-house Wine Cellar.

I have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Busuanga Bay Lodge (BBL). But first, if you are looking for a resort with “Exciting Nightlife!!!” & need the Internet to survive, this is NOT the place. If I haven’t lost you yet, keep reading…. LOCATION: If you crave peace & quiet, BBL’s remote location is like a hidden gem - a real writer’s paradise out of a travel magazine. If you need to go to Market (on the fly) for meds or toiletries, you can arrange for the hotel van w/ the front desk to take you there. It’s about a 15 minute ride one way. It will cost about 600 pesos (to & from) but in US dollars - that’s $11.00 & Uber couldn’t beat that. A ride to Coron will take about 30 minutes & of course, cost a little bit more. DIVING: The resort has it’s own dive shop & offers any rental gear necessary. The access to 10 phenomenal shipwreck diving sites by boat is so convenient that most of the time, after your dives, you are back at your room within 30 minutes! We got some of our best diving pics/footage here. Also, our room had a nice sitting area outside where we could place ALL of our gear out to fully dry in the sun before packing it up to catch our plane upon leaving. STAFF: It is no exaggeration to say that the entire staff is one-in-a-million and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. FOOD: There are 2 places onsite for dining - the main lodge (covered but Poolside) and the Seahorse Bar & Grill (located above the resort dive shop) which is only open on the weekends. We only dined only at the main lodge during our stay but our experiences were always Top Notch in presentation & palate. ACCOMMODATIONS: My elderly parents joined us in our stay at BBL so we had to add a night last minute before arrival & ended up staying in 2 different areas of the resort. First night was in rooms 201 & 202 (top of the hill by the main lodge) & the rest of the time in rooms 402 & 403 (all the way down the hill) by the water but almost next to the dive shop. The resort has a golf cart & driver on call 24/7 to bring you up the paved road to the main lodge & back down to your room - perfect for my elderly parents! Both sets of rooms & bathrooms were modern, very clean, offered fresh linens/towels, were spacious, had a refrigerator & seemed fairly new. No leaks, water stains or drainage issues whatsoever. WIFI: Could be spotty once in a while but was not much of an issue with our basic needs. WIFI was always available at the main lodge & we did see guests with laptops mostly off to themselves by the pool or dining. Not sure if we got the timing of the season just right but the resort was not at all that busy. My family & I enjoyed all the Rest & Relaxation we got at BBL in that 5 day stay and look forward to coming back soon. Thank you, Busuanga Bay Lodge!!!

We had a 3 night stay but left after 2, hotel room was perfect, but after paying a premium rate for this island, problems I encountered, no Wi-Fi in the rooms, you have to pay 100 peso plus 250 peso upload charge, as you come into the reception the restaurant is right in front of you, then the pool, then to the left the bar, it’s all too cramped, we were having a meal at the hotel as there is no other place close bye to go, we sat down and ordered drinks, a French couple sat next to us then decided they would chain smoke for the duration of our sit down meal, as we were having our starter 4 young kids decided to start jumping and splashing around the pool The next day at breakfast, which is very poor unless you pay extra the same couple ( smokers ) sat there smoking away It ruined our stay and we left a day early 1 move the testy away from the pool area, lovely view but not practical for a romantic meal when kids splashing about or close the pool from 7pm 2 ban smoking around any eating area On the positives the food except the breakfast was very good We stayed in room 103 which had a great view Highly recommend the raw fish starter, it was very nice Hotel room and food were excellent, it’s far too remote with nowhere to walk, the staff were excellent Smokers and kids jumping in the pool in the evening ruined it, not a problem during the day when your only having lunch Happy hour on cocktails is only Friday, Saturday, Sunday Make this everyday for a few hours Wouldn’t stay here again, breakfast should be more substantial including juice for ehst the room cost is and Wi-Fi should be free not just in the restaurant

I went to Busuang to dive the WW2 shipwrecks, and I could not have found a better place to do it from, first Pirate Divers Busuanga are located just some 30 minutes from the furthest shipwreck, and they will get you to the wrecks with no fuss and in small numbers. I recommend any diver/photographer to use this company. Staying at Busuanga Bay Lodge was a pleasure. The staff were absolutely marvellous, and nothing was too much trouble, the room impeccable. Busuanga Bay Lodge also operates a backpacker's which is situated some 800 yards from the main resort. This is ideal for large dive clubs. Rooms are spartan but scrupulously clean, it is a cheap alternative to the main resort, but guests to the Buho Inn have access o the main resort Pool, gym, bar etc., and this is a big deal. I would stay at the Busuanga Bay Lodge again in a heartbeat. Thanks, guys, for looking after June and me.

After a full week of all-day boat rides, tricycle rides to dinner in Coron town, and van rides throughout the lush countryside, we were ready to cap our stay with a few days of tranquility to soak in the beauty of Busuanga. Hands down, BBL stuns with a view like no other. Every corner of the dining pavilion which spilled into the pool area promised a unique view of the bay from sunrise to sunset. Upon nightfall, when the view disappeared into a black stillness, the pavilion turned intimate, with tables filled with flowers from the grounds, candlelight, and music from a handsome trio. In addition to its views, BBL’s sheer spaciousness contributed to this feeling of luxury and relaxation. Rooms are clean and minimalist, with a wall of glass opening to the bay and all the floor space one needed to spread out. The bathrooms are equally bright and large, with a shower area that felt more like a separate room, and long uninterrupted countertops on both sides of the sink. The biggest luxury of all came from the staff, who spoiled us with their attention, their warmth, and their willingness to grant a special request: live music was reserved for specific occasions, but on our last night, my parents got their wish of being serenaded just one more time. THANK YOU BBL—all of you--from the bottom of our hearts!

BBL really made our vacation significantly memorable. We enjoyed every minute of stay from sincere WELCOME Greetings, to their spectacular pool. All the staff that we met made us feel at home, they were all courteous and friendly. Mr. Joaquin was extremely accomodating. BBL is a perfect choice especially during the last few days of stay after CORON experience. The entire place was clean, rooms were luxurious with a perfect beach view, really a comfortable place to stay. Serenity at its best!

I spent a couple of nights here. It's a beautiful property, with amazing views, conveniently right in the town of Busuanga. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was included and was fine, as were several other meals I had there. Service was very good. The staff are the friendliest and possibly the best hosts I have been cared for. I would definitely come back and highly recommend staying at Busuanga Bay Lodge.

I suspect this was once a stellar resort. Amazing views and super gracious and friendly staff. But nearly everything else was cut-rate. Rooms are fitted out with 3 star furnishing (vinyl sofa?), we did not have refrigerator in room (there was an ugly open hole in wall where it used to be), old dated sliding glass doors on villas, there was only one 3 seat buggy to transport guest up and down the very steep road to rooms (the other one was in for repair?… would think a “5-star” resort like this would have at least a backup unit), and no Wi-Fi in rooms… we had to purchase such and even then it was very lame. Even the lobby bathrooms were in rough shape, badly installed plumbing and rusting fixtures. Not a good sign. Lastly, and most importantly, you are isolated (which under the right circumstances would be awesome) and the menu is very limited and at best average quality. I’d swear the pizza was from frozen pre-made. We were booked for four night and left after one as we could not imagine relaxing with this menu the entire stay. To be fair, we heard they were short a chef. Seems owners need to step up and update to 5-star accommodations and sort food issue… maybe tough after several years of pandemic, but critical. Thus, I suggest doing pre-reservation homework ahead of time and seeing if these issues are resolved. Hope for the staff’s sake that owners reboot this wonderful location.
