It is a beautiful place, where you can do a lot of things like: kayak, visit the museum, talk to the biologists, camp, play volley, enjoy the beach and the warm water and hike. It is a wonderful place for families, lovers and friends. You can also do your own barbecue ;). The only negative point is tha&t is difficult... More

A party of 20+ of us trekked up from Asuncion for a relaxing three day weekend. The facilities are not fantastic - four of us paid as much a head to share a "Zoolander"-esque tiny room with two bunk beds crammed in a corner as another couple did for their own room for two. They do nickel and dime a... More

This is the third time we try to go to Laguna Blanca and this time we finally made it. To be able to go to Laguna Blanca you must have a four-wheel drive van, otherwise you won't make it. The road was surprisingly nicer than before but one steel needs a 4x4 van. Laguna Blanca is beautiful, calm and there... More

The setting is stunning, it's tranquil, unspoilt & wild. The owners & the staff are terrible - rude, extremely unhelpful, unfriendly & very unwelcoming. We opted for dinner one night (the only night), we were expecting something simple. What was dumped on the table (luke warm) as it had been cooked maybe 30 mins before, was a non-descript battered meat... More

We got this place recommended by a local friend - Chalo - and we could not be more happy we took his advise. If you happen to be travelling for a longer period of time and crave for some beach time in the middle of a continent, this could be a place for you. We just loved the 'rancho' feel... More

Given the fact that the place is private rather than govt. ran, many things aren't taken into consideration, taken for granted and/or subordinated to the local ways, like lack of restrictions and even contradicting requirements. However, this makes the place relatively unknown to the masses, and the difficult access and reservation procedure keeps it off limits for end-of-the-line people (excuse... More

We arrived at night because we were encountered with rain most of the way, which slowed down our driving, making us arrive after the check-in time. They didn't want to let us in because it is against their rules, but my husband explained what happened and they were very understanding. The staff was friendly from the start, providing everything we... More

Even thought the place is amazingly beautiful, I have a lot of complains starting from the road that is in horrible conditions (and the owner doesn't warn you about it, which resulted on my car going to service after this journey), no direction signs (which resulted on me + my group getting lost and losing about an hour of roadtrip... I was the only guest. There are several nature trails, and a white-sand beach with crystal clear water. It's one of the most beautiful places in Paraguay. Each room has its own bathroom in a separate building, but there's no mirror. Free wifi. They make food there. No A/C.

Laguna Blanca is an amazing place with crystal clear waters and a white sand beach. When we were there it was full moon and it was just a wow moment sitting at the beach and enjoying the place. You can either camp or stay in the small rooms that they call cabanas. The camping site and the rooms share a... More
