Hellbourg is a beautiful Creolean village: and LES JARDINS D"HEVA adds to the charm! The rooms are separate buildings below the restaurant. Each with its own veranda and glass wall to keep the wind out. Lovely en-suite room. Very comfortable with enough space to unpack and settle in for a few days. At night we could see the stars...how special... More

lovely place to stay while visiting the most beautiful village in Reunion. we had a large room which was very comfortable for us (king bed) with a rollaway for our daughter. the bathroom is basic but large and clean with no cracks/need of repair. the food is mediocre and we preferred to eat dinner at the one of the lovely... We stay for a week with family. Service is nice. Nice place, close to all interesting place in Reunion. Food was good and tasty. Room is simple and good for rustic tourism. Car Rental is necessary if you want to be on the beach and make tour of island.

We finished a 8 day hike with a night in the "Case" [lodge] Madagascar 1 of Jardin d'Heva and we were delighted. The hotel promotes sustainable hospitality practices, the lodge was very clean and the hotel offers all usual services. The wifi router seems to be central, so the strength of the signal may depend on where your lodge is;... More

We stayed for 2 nights. And that was enough. Overall not too bad when you speak about the food (choise between 2 or 3 creole dishes and dessert) and hospitality( friendly). Bad stuff: The rooms are old cottages devided in 2 rooms and therefore very noisy (especially when you have screaming kids as neighbors). The bathroom was a disaster (the... More

We may be a little biased because we arrived at Les Jardins d'Heva after two days of pretty wet and intense backpacking, but we could not have imagined anything better. (In fact we even tried to blow off our next lodging arrangements and stay an extra night, but alas, there was no room). Upon arrival we were greeted by the... More

Like most travellers on La Réunion we chose this as a starting place for hiking tours and our visit to the center of the island. The welcome was very friendly, the staff was always helpful. The room smelled a little dampish, which probably cannot be avoided due to the overall climate. Dinner was good but the dishes were the same... More

Lonely Planet recommended this hotel and so we booked - several months in advance which seems to be what you have to do for the limited accommodation in Reunion. The hotel has five differently themed bungalows, each divided into two double rooms, to accommodate separate couple or a family adjacent to each other. Each bungalow has a different theme -... More

The hotel is just outside the village - a longish walk if you want to try local restaurants (we didn't bother, the homemade creole food in the hotel was good.) The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The hotel advertises itself as a 'vernacular' hotel (2 star) which is fair enough. The rooms are in 'chalets' in the... More

This must be your pick when staying in charming Hell-Bourg. The bungalows, situated in the gardens, are spacious with walk-in showers. The only thing we missed were little reading lamps as the lightning is pretty general and weak at nights. As a guest you're entitled to 3 free quarters of an hour in the spa (sauna/hammam, jacuzzi). The spa is... More
