We are situated just 700 mt from the highway route no.1 (Bangkok - Chaing Mai). Our resort is quiet and clean, with 14 bungalows. Each room has Free WiFi, A/C, super chilled fridge, hot showers, t.v, and comfy bed. There are beautiful fruit trees, flowers and a pond. You will be able to relax, go for a walk around the resort, and order food and drinks from our menu, then relax in your room or at our outside tables in the shade while dinning. All our food is freshly cooked in traditional Thai style. We offer a good selection of soft drinks, and beers. We are also able to offer experienced local massage. We will arrange for the masseuse to come and take care of you in your own room. This land has been in my family for many years. Before we decided to build our resort, we used to grow mangoes and coconuts and sell our products at the local market. We would like to invite tourists and new friends to visit our delightful resort, and to learn a little bit about our hometown and the area. If you come from Bangkok, our resort is located 18 km (20 mins drive) away from Nakhon Sawan city. If you come from the north, you can expect our resort 18 km before Nakhon Sawan. There are local eating places nearby and various street food stalls 5 minutes down the highway. There are additional attractions nearby we will be happy to direct you towards!

Detailed Reviews
Cabin style accommodation along the motorway from the north to Bangkok. Very convenient stay with good price. Inside the cabin, there were basic facilities, but still there was a big refrigerator. The host is very nice and she pointed me to the hut where I could get some coffee. A pond in the back of the resort gave the stay a homely feeling. There are a lot of things to do, but I wish I had more time at the resort. The cabin I got was clean, I love the bed and the pillow. The WiFi was super strong. Some things to improve are: more lighting inside the room would be great and door lock to our room was broken.

Great resort. Close to the highway so perfect for a stop over. Quiet with safe parking next to the chalet. Food available and friendly staff. Area with hot water for coffee and breakfast. Highly recommended.

The Kalae Resort is great. We stayed here as a stopover between Bangkok and Chiang Mai (with a few points in between). It is spotlessly clean and well-tended. The owner is a charming woman who works hard to make you feel welcome. This is no five star resort but it is a great place for a stop-over. Beer is available at a reasonable price and the owner will happily order and deliver high quality food for you. There is a common area with a ping pong table as well as a little pond (with beautiful lotus flowers) . The only thing I'd change is the fluorescent lighting in the room and I'd add two bedside tables with lamps for reading.

I stayed here 3 weeks with my girlfriend.
The owner Poon and her family are developing the resort garden by using native plants from the local area. When mature it will be a very good example of a central Thai rural garden. Poon was educated in Australia so she speaks fluent English and is always happy to help with what to do and see in the area. She is also happy to have a chat on many other topics as well.
The self contained cabins are well maintained and are cleaned daily.
The wifi is very good also.
The resort is situated about 700m from the highway so you don't get any road noise from Highway 1 which seems to be getting busier by the day.
We enjoyed our stay at Kalae and will stay there again.

The atmosphere and service were excellent! This resort suits not only family but also couples, friends and Solo. The location is also great as it is far from the highway 700 metres, which means this place is peace and quiet.

Definately recommend! I had a wonderful experience at Kalae Resort and ended up staying 3 times as long as had originally planned (as sometimes happens when you like it). Coffee, hammocks, superior clean rooms, excellent service, video games, lake with a boat... Its a real feel of Thailand with the location not too far from the city but also surrounded by rice patties and small farms. Excellent scenery and photo ops. Staff is friendly and the owner, Pum, speaks excellent English and always is sure to make your time enjoyable. Rooms are surprisingly affordable. Thank you for everything!! PS... Check out the local temple and smile a lot.

Well, is cheap, so our expectations weren't too high. Still, we'd booked the "family room" at twice the price of the normal rooms.
No one there with any English at all on arrival. We speak a little Thai so we could sort of understand the cleaning lady who acted receptionist. Hint to management: if you advertise to English speakers, you need to have English at your front desk. The cleaner is of no use.
The family room hadn't been cleaned, do we were offered a VIP room instead. After taking one look at the family room, I quickly decided on the VIP room.
Yes, a bare bones room with a hard mattress, as was to be expected. No space to put clothes, a suitcase or even a vanity bag. No amenity in the room like coffee, tea, kettle. Just nothing.
Worst of all, some other people arrived who has not booked online, and they got the same room for 500 baht, where we had paid 700.
The whole experience felt, well, crummy. If not do much about the money, just that awful feeling that you've just been had.
Stay away.

I paid 400 baht for a single bed room on 10/14/16. This place is very nice for the price. It is about a kilometer away from the highway so you don't hear any traffic, only crickets at night. Every room is in its own cabin which is fully furnished. The WiFi is very fast. AC works perfectly. There's a heater in the shower and toilet paper next to the toilet. The owner, Pum (pronounced Poom), speaks fluent English and is very friendly. They offer breakfast and dinner for 50 baht each. Both can be delivered to your room. They also offer free coffee in the morning. I give this place a 10/10!

I'm making my way from Bangkok to the North and it's difficult to find cheap quality places to stay on the way since there's not a whole lot of tourism. As soon as I arrived the owner was incredibly helpful offering me a nice room, called a friend for a massage, showed me an awesome place to see a ton of monkeys and a beautiful sunset and was just all round incredibly helpful. If you're making you're way up to the north or down to the south, definitely give this place a visit.
