Wow- what a place. We first visited soon after opening at which point I intended to write this review...a dozen trips and many awesome Bloody Mary's later I am compelled,so... Firstly special thanks to David, Hugo and Dom for their tremendous hospitality again and again, for a new opening to find their feet so quickly is a delight. In the... More

Having read some reviews, I was expecting a memorable dining experience. However, I found the whole menu to be very limited & rather expensive. The onion & beef pie (& with 13 onions that is how it should be described) was £10 alone & any vegetables were an extra £3. As for the chocolate sundae....when did they ever make it... More

A gastro pub/hotel as it should be - friendly, charming, refined and relaxing. Definitely worth going out of one's way to visit. The food was fab and service friendly! The chicken bites are #insanelymoorish

This place is as good as it gets. Small enough to be intimate and cosy, big enough to offer first rate accommodation and wonderful bar, lounge and restaurant facilities. Exceptional team of staff and management whose service throughout was effortless and exceptional. Everything food and drinks wise; from the nuts, to the local G&T, the top quality supper and a... I can not praise this place highly enough. Charlie, Adder, David, Hugo and their team made this stay one of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a very long time. Beautiful room, could do with a mirror and a couple more plug sockets, but other than that near perfection. Food was great, but the highlight really was the service.... More

I have been to The Bull a number of times, both for dinner and lunch, with friends and with my boyfriend. It's a place I have been recommending to friends ever since - an easy train ride or drive from London and the food has been fantastic every time I've been with a really exciting and different menu. Try the... More

Inspired cooking where you can taste the chef's talent, generously and tastefully decorated layout, good atmosphere, perfect, comfortable rooms - all makes this pub well ahead of the race from the other gastro pubs around Oxon/Gloucs where you can often feel a little ripped off. Enjoy!

My husband and I had a rare day away from looking after our little girl and wanted to go for a really spoiling lunch somewhere - The Bull did not disappoint. Everything from the beautiful interiors and attention to detail - to the insanely delicious food - it was all such a treat and the perfect way to spend our... More

A lot of boxes were ticked on our weekend break to Charlbury. Its not far from London so we were able to jump on a train with a little M&S picnic. The cosy bar had a great selection of local beers, and some friendly locals happy to chat with anyone. We had a lunch and dinner over the weekend as... More

This is one of our favourites when spending a weekend in the Cotswolds. It's within walking distance from Charlbury station and has real character and a buzzy atmosphere. The food is the main draw. We've eaten here a few times now - for dinner and sunday lunch and both offered up great seasonal menus with the seafood a real highlight... More
