Service was excellent and staff very attentive. Feel the afternoon tea was very expensive, but beautifully presented. Disappointed with the lack of atmosphere although it's a beautiful setting. Signposting to get to the venue and within the grounds very poor.

This was a birthday treat from my daughter for my husband and I. We loved it! The food was great and the service was very good and very attentive. Lovely surroundings, beautiful area. It was the best afternoon tea we have had in a long while. We were lucky with a mild, fairly sunny October day, which added to the treat.

Wonderful service from very helpful and friendly staff with amazing food and a very comfortable and clean room. The gardens are very peaceful to walk around and there is so much todo locally within a very short drive.

It's rare that a place lives up to all expectations and doesn't disappoint at all. It was thrilling, beautiful, relaxing, romantic with exceptional staff service. The location on the South Downs, the castle and grounds are stunningly beautiful. We had the most sumptuous, tasty dinner - all plates so pretty as well as delicious. Our room - Amberley - was amazing too. Luckily our visit was a sunny day in Autumn, mild and the colours of the leaves, turned golden and red. I imagine its lovely here in all seasons. It really is fairytale pretty. If you're in the area, do walk around Amberley with its pretty thatched cottages, and visit nearby Arundel too (it also has a castle, plus priory, cathedral, and theatre). In fact, I can only think of one thing I wish Amberley Castle had - real log fires. But I understand that's not possible in the bedrooms anymore because of health and safety (what a shame) and the gasfire in its place was lovely still. Thank you!
