Me and wife had a lot of memorable experience with Plataran brand. We even had our engagement at Plataran Dharmawangsa. So Plataran is definitely the go to place for a truly Indonesian experience. This visit is no different. Its so lovely :)
The food was delicious. The staff were so friendly. We even get a free upgrade for our rooms. The rooms were so spacious, my son enjoyed playing his lego in the room. We also love the luxurious interior, the kind of interior that make you feel like a king for a day.
We didnt had the chance to try the swimming pool because were a bit cautious due to the covid pandemi. But we really enjoyed our breakfast and feel safe, the hotel really implement a super safe covid-19 procedure. They disinfectant the table regularly, they had staff who wear glove to serve our food. It was also their procedure for every staff to wear face shield and masker.
Thank you Plataran Heritage, another pleasant experience with the brand. Love it!

The place has a good vibe. From the moment you step out of the car until you enter the room, the service is 2 thumbs up. It is situated a bit far from the nearest city, so it's secluded and quiet. This comes at a cost, there arent many places to eat around, only small local restaurants. But the hotel is still within the reach of food delivery service such as GoFood. You can also dine at some of the hotel restaurants such as Manoreh, Stupa, and Patio.
The hotel is CHSE certified, but they take it to another level. All guests must provide recent swap antigen test result or vaccine certificate at the reception desk. Hand sanitizer are everywhere within the property. The restaurants sealed all the utencils and they even provide us with food-grade sanitizer spray.
The room is spacious and clean. Although we have a bit problem with ants in our room and the shower wall need to be refurbished around the drain area, but other than that the room was very clean and comforting.
We would like to say thank you to Ms Meria, Mas Haris, and Manoreh restaurant team that made our stay there easier since we have 2 kids and 2 senior with us. Also Pak Wofain at the mini zoo who is very friendly and helpful. Chef Rossy at Patio, the food was excellent.
Overall, great stay and will return.

We went for a prewedding session, and decide to stay for 1 night with our family. The hospitality is great, friendly, professional. All staff is using a face shield and a mask. For the food server, they always use tool and not using their bare hands.

We were rather disappointed with the service & the inconvenience
We booked room king size bed but upon checked in it was twin beds. We notified the front office immediately as we were heading out a short while, so it gives ample of time for housekeeping to make up bed
Unfortunately upon our return exhausted, the beds weren’t made!!
We had to call them again. Since we were headed out for dinner, we called FO again for the bed issue. And upon returning to our room for the 2nd time, it weren’t made. So only the 3rd time calling, we had to wait for the housekeeping to come and made our beds
It should NOT happen as reservations were made in advance and clearly stated. So unsure what happen to the staffs’ communication
Breakfast staffs were superbly lovely. Decent selection of food varieties but only tasted so-so. Cheese platter was utterly disappointing, as we expect natural cheese serving such as blue cheese, mozzarella, natural cheddar cheese but only 1 natural cheese which was emmental cheese and the other “cheese” was processed cheddar cheese. Was really expecting higher standard as this hotel is the same calibre with many other 5 stars hotels which we stayed
Noisy room maybe due to thin walls and hallway due to tiles. We were disturbed by other guests running and talking at the hallway.
The mountain view rooms, which are more expensive are with bathtubs. NO shower cubicle! Pool view room which is cheaper, is shower cubicle.
So beware of room choices especially for the elderly
Inconvenient trash systems in the hotels as it requires handling ie: opening the trash cover which is gross especially during this period!
We can fully understand on keeping the traditional hotel themes but during this time, hygiene n convenience should be the main priority in our personal take
We love that the hotel provides lots of alcohol gels & hand paper towels for hand sanitization at lift areas at all levels
Unsure if we will return to this place again.
We would still recommend this hotel as it has a traditional unique theme, dutch colonial feel to it. But be ready for all the noise level and how the hotel’s room selection. We didn’t like the bath tub but the shower cubicle rooms were all full

I had the pleasure to stay at the hotel with such attention to detail and really do their utmost to make sure we have a pleasant experience.
they clean the room multiple times a day. the staff and the management really care about the covid health protocol with hand sanitizer and mask available everywhere.
The staff helped me arranged a private dinner with the family and a romantic dinner with my husband. They really do the extra mile with the arrangements. The food (especially the Indonesian and Oriental cuisine) is sublime. Their signature cocktails are also very good.
Even though my family lives close by, but we are also discovering new things from the activities and visiting some of the local industries. The staff is mainly from local communities, so you can understand their sense of belonging and knowledge of the surrounding areas.
Worth mentioning, most of the facilities are disabled-friendly. My mother is in a wheelchair and she can access most of the facility easily (only the Patio-Kastil restaurant is a challenge). They even booked a first-floor room with special needs bathroom. It would be a cherry on the top if they also consider the bed access as well.
Needless to say, we were very pleased by the service and it won't be the last time.

Stayed at Plataran Heritage for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The most important thing for us was health safety - the place and rooms were clean and staffs adhere to strict covid protocols; providing an extra sense of security and comfort for us during a time of a pandemic.
Also highly appreciative of Pak Mario, Pak Yatmo and all of the staff who helped us in picking and choosing activities, including helping us book a local tennis court!
This was our first time staying at Plataran, definitely wont be the last.

We went to this hotel during pandemic, overall they have a good health protokol, they make sure all the visitor bring negative test result. And they sterilize all the rooms. But of course every now and then people forgot wearing a mask, especially the smoker, but all the employees are done their job well.
They got great hospitality, they even help us to make sure some of activity schedule taking care of even with some complicated request.
One dissapointment was actually during our visit they are also minister visit to the region, they are so busy preparing the arrival. They just ignore me bringing all my stuffs from car in the Rain. They are all just standing there waiting for the minister team to arrive.
The room is nice, clean and spacious. We choose the room with bath tub with great view. They also offer some good package which we recommend to choose because is value for money.
One of the downside is they lack of kids activity, or the staffs don't actively promote the activities even we bring kid with us.
Food is good but can be better, but overall we like it especially the local food.
They are also eco friendly hotel, with reusable mineral bottle, and using jar for soap and shampoo.
Overall we like the hotel, and definetly will return in the future with family.

1. Bedroom: clean and spacious. It has connecting rooms for those with big family.
2. Bathroom: well-maintained and clean too. My only concern is soap and shampoo dispenser in a fragile glass-like jar. If it accidentally falls and break on the floor, things may turn ugly. Either you need to spend time, calling the housekeeping to clean it up, or even worse, you may get injured in the process. Plastic dispenser is far safer and it will not make the experience “less Javanese” though.
3. Breakfast: the waiter will help to get your food from the buffet table. Lots of variety and it certainly one of the highligh during the stay. Local cuisines such as bubur ayam, nasi goreng dan mi goreng were a great comfort food experience. The Chinese bun “bakpau” was one of the best thing Heritage offers. Don’t miss the herbal “aneka jamu” drink such as kunyit asam and beras kencur.
4. Parking: this hotel is in the middle of nowhere but unfortunately, they don’t have a secured indoor car park. The outdoor car park is very limited in space. Must be rough during peak season or if there is a special occasian such as wedding. I visit this hotel during rainy season, a walk from hotel to car sometimes can be challenging, depending on the weather.
5. Location: Close to some tourist spot like Borobudur, SvargaBhumi (Instagrammabe spot) and Punthuk Setumbu. Still need a car to get around though. It is recommended to visit Enam Langit (Restaurant) by Plataran to get a magnificent sunrise/sunset experience. Booking is mandatory through the hotel. If lucky, you may get to experience “the sea of cloud” from its high elevation.
6. Overall: honeymoon, anniversary or family gathering, it’s all worth it and what you may expect from 5 star quality. But the hotel also has some room for improvements, from small little things such as soap dispenser to the limited outdoor car parks.

i love the colonial style throughout the interior and exterior design of the hotel. clean hotel, super awesome service, amazing hospitality of employees on all fronts. the location is very strategic, close to the borubudur temple, adjacent to the residents' village so we can enjoy morning walks around the hotel and interact with local residents. Like other Plataran properties, I rate Plataran Heritage Borobudur to be amazing and the food at all the restaurants never disappoints. We can also go to Plataran Resort to enjoy a meal while relaxing on the patio with views of the Borobudur temple and order western or Indonesian food with a Plataran touch. In this time of the pandemic, I feel safe with the strict implementation of the Covid-19 protocol throughout the hotel. For visitors who bring children, there are many activities that can be done, deer feeding, horse back riding, batik making class, etc. my kids love it very much. In conclusion, I will definitely come back here for a traditional Indonesian experience with international standard services.

Our first holiday after more than 1 year living in the bubble due to pandemic. Thank you for making us feeling safe to stay in your hotel.
All guests must provide swab antigen result and all staffs from frontliner to gardener had been vaccinated. We have to make reservation to use the pool as they limited the pool for only 1 group per hour.
This hotel is suitable for family staycation and they also have mini zoo here, my 3 yo son was very happy feeding the deers and riding the horse. There were some activities around Borobudur/hotel area like village tour with VW and ATV. All staffs were attentive and very helpful. All in all our stays here was superb!

Thank you for writing inquiry online, Further to your question, we are glad to inform you that we have daily shuttle service twice in one day it will be at 9:30 in the morning and 15:00 in the afternoon. Our shuttle service is drop only from hotel to Borobudur, while for coming back, there will be additional charge.
Regarding the taxi service we suggest you to arrange transportation trough the hotel since it will be a bit difficult to find taxi around the hotel, we could arrange for drop/pick up or car rental with a driver.
