On arrival at the hotel greeted by a very friendly and helpful customer service guy who offered us a drink straight away. Check in took a long time. We weren’t told that much information here which lead us back to reception on a few occasions and all took a long time as always a queue and not enough staff on the desks. Things we should of been told was to purchase a card for a plastic cup for round the pool which at the end you can hand back and get a refund and also to purchase a pool towel ticket which again can be refunded on departure.
A buggy took us and our cases to our ‘lodge.’ We stayed in a Nottingham 2 bed lodge. It is basically a caravan with wooden fronting. Very small. Unable to pack ours of the kids clothing properly and we had to push our cases under the beds until we needed again. The lodge had air con, cleaned every day and towels changed. We stayed on an ultra all inclusive basis. We spent a lot of time by each pool and the kids really enjoyed themselves. The staff didn’t stop at the pool bars. One day we wanted a bit more shade and decided to sit in a bed with canopy by the big pool. Another guest arrived and wasn’t happy that we had taken their’s! We were unaware of this and approached staff who charged us €25 for the day to hire one as the other guest was premier and that was included for them but not for us. Included with that was a bottle of cava and fruit. We later then had another staff member telling us we could t have a bottle by the pool! Bit confusing. Evening entertainment wasn’t great and started too late. The food in the main buffet area had a big selection and wasn’t too bad. We booked the Italian one night for a change which was nice but more of a set menu. Some of our group managed to get on the Sufi and get the app working to book things but most couldn’t. If we went to reception to book things when struggling they told us they couldn’t book anything for us. We had a free visit to aqua and terra natura. Definitely worth a visit! If you want to buy a bottle of wine bring a corkscrew with you as you get charged €3! There is a laundrette on site for washing and drying it cost €7 and that’s with detergent included. If we were to stay again it would probably be at the magic terra natura and would need to be bigger accommodation. Overall though we all had a good family holiday.

I am so pleased that we booked our holiday before reading the recent reviews. We are still at the resort, arriving on Tuesday and are staying for 4 nights. The 3 bedroom Sherwood is perfect. It’s is a great size for a family of 4 adults and 1 child. Super clean with towels changed and mini bar stocked daily. We have heaters for the colder nights and a nice outdoor seating area. Our cabin is closer to the Lady Marian theatre so we do hear the karaoke at night but it hasn’t really bothered us. It has given us a giggle if anything. If you had smaller children or find it difficult to sleep then maybe ask for one located further away.
We did not have high expectations for the food but I have to say we have been pleasantly surprised. Plenty of choice and we have particularly enjoyed the range of salads and the tapas (king prawns, tapenade, salmon tartare). We have thankfully had no issue with raw food and yes some things like the beans can be on the cooler side but when catering for a large number of people I imagine this can be tricky to keep the hot plates at a safe temperature. The hotel has tried to resolve this by providing microwaves for those that want the food hotter. Our son has loved the kids choices and ice creams available at any time at the pool bar and restaurant. We have only managed to eat at one other restaurant with our UAI which was the long bow Italian. Pizzas and pasta were nice. On the UAI branded drinks are included so we have enjoyed some Havana rum and Bombay gin. We have stayed in other resorts where the drink is of poor quality.
The pool areas are clean and we have found the lifeguards to be very attentive and it is clear to see they are committed to the safety of the guests. In the time we have been here I have seen three children being helped to safety very quickly. The water is cold but this doesn’t seem to bother the kids and the slides are great fun!
I would definitely recommend booking activities when you arrive as the availability is limited! We did it on day one and managed to book the games centre, medieval dinner show and laser tag. Medieval show tonight so no review yet… Games room is ok with lots of consoles but with only 1/2 hour slots it’s difficult to get in to the games. Laser tag was brilliant fun and the staff here were great.
We did have some minor issues when checking in- did not receive our bands straight away and we had to go back twice to get an electric card for the lodge and the cards for the drinks. The drinks cards do require a deposit but you get this back on departure. It’s nice to see a resort addressing some of the issues with single use plastics.
We have found the staff we have spoken to from cleaners to restaurant staff to be polite and although not all have spoken English they have tried their best to accommodate us.
Overall we have had a great stay so far and more importantly our son is having a brilliant time!
TOP TIP- Book trips/restaurants as soon as you get here.
- Choose a slightly later dinner time 8.30pm if you can, as it is quieter.

OK so here are the pros and cons.

Pros & Cons
● Very clean complex.
● Drinks and Service are good but long queues due to busy times.
● Food is mostly Luke warm however a wide range and choice.
● Can get extremely busy at meal times, really hectic.
● Brilliant pool and slides.
● Entertainment was woeful.
● I would say staff in general do an amazing Job.
● Lodges you don't have neighbours, you actually have lodgers, the walls are so thin.
● Jacuzzi and balinese beds are rammed so close to next door we may as well have shared, zero privacy and can hear everything, would say not worth the room upgrade cost.
●food trucks are good.
● Gin bar was brilliant.

Now comes the most annoying part for me.
The different tiers of all inclusive and the cost to upgrade.
I got quoted double the price than what I would have been charged at time of booking to upgrade to ultra all-inclusive. When others were quoted much less it seems as if they pluck a figure when it suits. Why is this not fixed price and even adjusted weekly to reflect demand etc.
This now seems to be pushed into your face encouraging you to upgrade at whatever price they see fit.
So what else have they added to annoy or encourage,
● speedy queue at bar beat to the minnons for a drink.
● separate seating area at dinning so you don't have to sit next to the peasants.
● balinese beds at the pool included keeping you separate from the unwashed.
● Can't get on the free bus into town unless you're Ultra.
● Excessive cost to dine in other restaurants to further encourage you to upgrade to ultra as it would be included.

Of course this may work out value for money depending what you get charged but If I book all inclusive it should mean that.
I do get its a business and after covid there is a need to maximise profits, but for me this put me off from the start and would be the main factor discouraging me returning.
Maybe if ultra gave me some sound proofing and privacy screens I'd sign up instantly.

Of course my main reason for booking was the pool scene and slides etc and they got my pass marks for this.
Just a few things needing improved that could make this place so much better.

Dear customer, We appreciate that you have taken the trouble to write a review, because for us the opinions of our customers are the basis for understanding their wishes and give us the necessary strength to continue to improve day by day. On the day of your arrival at the establishment we give you a welcome letter, where we inform you about FORMULA 24 and FORMULA POST 24 for situations similar to the one you have told us about, and so that during your stay you can inform us about any deficiencies you find and they can be resolved while you are enjoying your holiday, but not after your holiday, as it helps to improve the holidays of future clients but not your own. All Inclusive guests have access to the buffet restaurant as well as the full range of drinks and snacks available throughout the day in our bars and food truck. Ultra All Inclusive guests have access to our 4 themed restaurants, SPA session, Pizza service in the Cabaña, daily restocking of the Minibar, visits to other establishments, excursion packages for stays of 4 nights or more, and new this year, our beach clubs are also available, all subject to quota, availability and opening calendar. The reservation of the themed restaurant services, visits to other establishments and excursions must be booked through our App. This information can be found in the Welcome Letter and in the Customer Voucher. If a guest wishes to upgrade their stay, prices and availability can be consulted at reception. Sincerely, Magic Robin Hood.

Would not recommend staying here. Very disappointed with our stay and will not return!

• The electric and heating was off during one of our days and this was not resolved until late at night. The electric constantly went on and off during our mealtimes from breakfast at the buffet restaurant. Our children were cold and had to stay up late until this was resolved. A lot of travellers were moved to different hotels or accessed earlier flights as a consequence of this.

• We tried to book a massage but were told the SPA was ‘permanently’ closed due to it being broken.

• The adult only bar was closed throughout our stay.

• The gin tonics bar was closed throughout our stay.

• There is a childrens play area with slide and climbing area advertised on the booking website which doesn’t even exist at the hotel anymore.

• The outside soft play area and swings were taped off and not in use throughout our stay.

• The majority of the water slides were closed during our stay and the ones open were during limited times.

• The ice cream truck and food trucks near the soft play area were closed throughout our stay yet they were setting these up when we were waiting for our bus to return to the airport home.

• A lot of the facilities kept breaking - the coffee machine broke and there was no hot water facilities and we were asked to heat up cold water in a microwave to make hot drinks. The toaster was not available during the majority of our stay as it was broken. Food in the buffet was cold the majority of the time needed reheating in a microwave - not something I’d expect to do on an all inclusive holiday.

When we booked the holiday we were told
We were all inclusive and wasn’t told there was an all inclusive ultra package. We feel we missed out on a lot because we were only able
To eat in the buffet, not able to go to the Robin Hood show, access the shuttle and were even limited to where we could sit or have sun beds because we weren’t ultra.
We asked to upgrade but told we couldn’t and kept being asked to come back because there was a language barrier. We found out later that people who purchased the ultra package couldn’t book the restaurants abs at times turned up at their bookings and the restaurant was closed. You also have to pay 40€ for a taxi to get to the zoo and back. The shuttle was also closed throughout our stay.

On our last day we had to be out of our cabin by 10am which was fair enough. You can pay an extra 10€ an HOUR to keep the cabin but then we were told we couldn’t and we’re asked not to return to the reception when we gave in our room card.
We were told we were not able to eat or Drink unless at the restaurants after breakfast unless we paid extra meaning we weren’t able to have any meals or drinks until we left the hotel and we were not being collected until 5.30pm unless we paid 120€. Please see pictures.

I have never experienced such a bad holiday before and this was such a disappointment as this was our first holiday abroad after covid.

We stayed for a week a family of 4 2 adults and 2 Children ages 9 and 11. Weather was amazing some days too hot for us Scots. We had booked All Inclusive Plus - Which meant you had your mini bar restocked everyday and could book the other restaurants and had the activities like mini golf and laser tag included. Also you can go to other hotels and waterpark/zoo

The place is kept clean and tidy but defo needs a revamp, we stayed in a Nottingham Lodge with one bedroom (not what we had booked as at the time we booked it showed as 2 separate bedrooms. Toilet is very small, shower is tiny but was ok for us. It is basically a caravan housekeeping came in each day to give us fresh towels and made the beds and restocked the mini bar.

Pools: We only ever went to the main pool, kids loved the pool and slides and kept them entertained most days. Kids also used the soft play area at the pool. We stayed at this end of the resort and enjoyed the truck for drinks so we didn't have to go to the main pool bar all the time, sometimes there was a small que. Lifeguards do a fab job, some whistle happy but it is good to know they are on the ball.

Staff: They work very hard and most were friendly apart from some who were just down right rude.

Food: The food is not amazing but you won't go hungry, the Golden Arrow buffet is ok. There was always something there to eat but it was mostly the same stuff everyday. We tried the Forest Cafe and would say that was the best for food and snacks. we did book for the Friars Tuck but cancelled as we kept hearing bad reviews that it was all food just like a BBQ and it was all very overcooked.

Drinks: Drinks were fab have no complaints :)

Entertainment: Was a hit or miss, most shows were in Spanish but you can get the jist of it. It was inside the Lady Marion which is abit like a big warehouse. We didn't use the kids club more catered for younger kids and more for Spanish children.

Arcade: Kids enjoyed the things that were working quite abit broken.

Medieval Night: The show was good. Food poor and you got your main half an hour before the show finishes it felt very rushed.

We enjoyed the outside area at the front of the hotel there is a softplay/park and it was nice to see all the kids playing there at night.

We really enjoyed the Laser Tag and a special mention to Marcos who was lovely and really friendly. Mini Golf was ok could do with a revamp.

What lets the place down is the very very rude Spanish guests no manners what so ever, don't know how to que. I heard there was a fight in the Lady Marion but we did not see this. Almost like a Butlins for the Spanish guests.

Overall we had a fab week away with the family and the kids had a great time, I personally would not go back but the holiday is what you make it

Just back from 7 days here. Lovely family holiday with everything you need on site. Easy check in; Drop bags in storage and scan QR code. Relax with a drink and you get messaged when your room is ready, before being transported to your lodge via golf cart. Very clean lodges with 2 bathrooms, which is very handy when you have 3 kids! Slides were all open and pools chilly, as you’d expect, but only takes seconds to get used to. Plenty activities, but could do with more than the 1 set of foot billiards that was available. A minor point though. Only a 15 minute walk into Albir, a beautiful little town with a part stony beach. Plenty tapas bars and some decent shops. Only €10 for a taxi to Benidorm with all that it entails. Visited these 2 places when weather not the best. Queues at the bar on a nighttime, but the staff were brilliant and did their best. Food was alright, with breakfast the best. We found a good breakfast meant we never needed lunch and just had a mid afternoon snack before dinner at night. It’s a €2.50 one off hire charge for a drinking cup that you will use for the daytime bars, but you get a fresh cup each drink. It gets refunded at the end. You have to book your times on check in for your meals and we found 0930/1330/2000 perfect. Transfers seamless between hotel and complex. Just a lovely, relaxing week. Definitely recommend.

At first place we've booked another hotel but then we were offered this one.
We came there with the mixed feeling but the reality was fabulous.
That was one of the best hotels we've been in our life!
The rooms/houses were spotless, the food was always fresh and super tasty. Entertainment was there every night. Pools and slides were excellent for the kids. We could always get a sun lounge no matter what time we would come to the pool.
That was one of the few times when we couldn't find any negative points in the hotel!

Our group of 10 had such a brilliant time here. We stayed for a day and hired a cabin which had minibar, bedrooms and bathrooms (spotless and modern design) and a hot tub too. We went on the water slides, swam, sun bathed, did the mini golf and played football. We enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch and had lots of cocktails from the bars dotted around the site. We also saw the main show in the evening which was so fun and something we'll all remember. Would 100% recommend.

I always forget to write a review but always read them 😊so here it is .... we have just returned from this resort.

We found it to be so big with plenty to do for all ages we didn’t get around to it all in 7 days. The rooms were lovely & very clean nice treat of drinks in the fridge daily & wine. The food was nice a lot better than most all inclusive hotels I’ve been before.

Kids enjoyed the snacks & ice-cream but wasn’t a fan of the free room service pizza due to the cheese that’s all

Positives- nice helpful staff, rooms, food, drinks, pools, water park, always loungers, trips, activities, safety (COVID), free beach bus, entertainment, plenty for little ones, teenage fun ie. laser tag, Mini golf, climbing, games room, can’t fault holiday enjoyed the week & lovely sunshine ☀️

Only minor negatives- no cordial / nappies at the shop so had to get bus to Benidorm costing 20 euros there & back as it was night time they did have a handy vending machine with bits like sun cream etc in

Bit too loud in inside night entertainment room & I don’t mind loud usually

Far from anything around it but tbh you have almost everything but no little souvenir shops near etc

Mostly Spanish place but really enjoyed it : )

Where do I start!
Went with my husband and 15 year old son, never saw him as he made friends straight away!
We were very nervous because of the negative reviews, but we're soon put at ease.
As soon as we got off the coach we were welcomed with a cold beer, water, ice cream and candy floss.
We had heard about windows not locking in the Sherwood lodges so that was the first thing we checked. They didn't lock but this was sorted straight away. The Sherwood lodges were great, and the concept of the lodges instead of a high rise block is brilliant. Fridge in lodge was stocked with beer, cava, soft drinks and water. As only filled once we used to get a few bottles of water from the pool bar to keep in the fridge. All international branded alcohol, in the maid marion bar you can get Stella and Carling in pints and a 4 pint pot! You must try the pink gin, in the end I was called Lingin by the bar staff!

The whole place was spotless, and all the staff worked very hard all the time to make the holiday as enjoyable as possible. Especially the pool bar team, Robin who maintained the pool area and the team who put the sunbeds out, who cleaned each one as they were put out.
The food was brilliant, I really cannot understand some comments to say they were starving. There was a separate kids area in the main restaurant serving, butter pasta, pasta sauces, burgers, hot dogs, chip's and a selection of foods from the main part. The main restaurant served tapas, salads, cheeses, vegetarian, fish, meat, curry, chilli, cold meats, fresh fruit and a massive range of cakes and puddings including ice lollies and ice cream to name a few. It does get busy so if you want peace go early. You can serve your own wine, beer, soft drinks and bottles of cava are available from the fridge.
The night time entertainment could have been a bit better, but to be fair it didn't spoil our holiday. There is a lot of spanish, but we thought that was good advertisement for the hotel, they don't cue but it's only us British that cue. We only had one incidence and the bar staff soon told them to go to the back.
The water slides are great for all ages and having the life guards made you feel more confident especially if you have younger children.
Albir is only a few minutes away in taxi around 6 euros, well worth the visit as was Benidorm this was around 10 euros. The market on a Sunday in Benidorm is not that great but worth a visit.

Overall positives everything!!! The management are taking on board comments on trip advisor but in my view the negative comments are blown out of proportion.

Negatives...none, wish we had booked 2 weeks. Would highly recommend this hotel!
