Cozy boutique hotel located in the centre of Trutnov, a few tens of meters from main Krakonos square.
Hotel offers comfortable accomodation and tasty cuisine (including hearty and varied breakfast) in own restaurant. Especially I would appreciate the staff of the hotel. I made a mistake during the booking of the room thus we arrived in Trutnov one day earlier than we had planned. Fortunately the desk clerk was very helpful and found two double (twin) rooms for us. Next day we moved to quadruple room. All rooms we stayed in were clean, spacious and convenient. We parked the car right in the front of the hotel and free wi-fi worked properly throughout our whole stay.

Maybe is not the best hotel, and for sure 4 stars are too much, but is the best place in trutnov. In the heart of the city center, close to the main square and the most important restaurants, location is for sure a plus. Rooms are clean and big enough, the problem is the noise coming from the streets. I would suggest for business overnights and even for a short visit of Trutnov and surrounding.

The room we had at this hotel for 2 nights was large with a 7foot bed, 2 armchairs, table, dressing table, 42 inch LCD tv with English channels, a separate area for the wardrobe and a separate bathroom, it was actually more like a suite and was amazing value at around £65 per night. It was beautifully furnished and the bed was exceptionally comfy. There was also a mini bar with reasonable prices and tea/coffee making facilities. Also free wifi with great connection. The bathroom was again immaculate with new fixtures and fittings and lovely toiletries, my only problem was with the shower as I could not seem to get the right temperature, it was either scalding or not hot enough, it could have been user error of course!
Our room was at the front of the hotel with 3 large windows so was lovely and bright, we heard some noise at night from people leaving the pub which is an Irish bar within the hotel but nothing much and traffic noise was also minimal in the morning as its not exactly on a busy street.
Downstairs is an Irish bar selling Guinness and Magners cider, the hotel is owned by an Irishman and there is a lot of Irish sporting memorabilia around the walls, while we were there he also had live music on in the bar which was great. We ate here both nights as the food was great, especially the steak. We still cannot get over how cheap everything is in CZ in comparison to the UK, Czech lager is less than a pound for 50cl..no wonder there were 4 very drunk Irishmen in the bar when we arrived!
We were able to park our motorbike at the rear of the hotel and had no problems, there is also an outside seating area with heaters but as is the norm everywhere now these places are always occupied by smokers.
This is a fab hotel which I would highly recommend.

Be careful not to book this hotel if you are hoping for a good night sleep since it is very close to a music club. The windows are very plain - no safety lock so a child could open it and fall out. Similar problem with the room door - out 4 year old opened it in the middle of the night and could had left the room on her own if we were sleeping. My perception was that the safety of quests and particularly their children was not even considered by the owners. Very disappointing. Restaurant has a limited menu and opens at 4pm at weekends. Noone at the reception when we arrived as well as when we were leaving - the waitress checked us in but was not capable of providing any information that tourists expect. When the music from the bar finally stops in the early morning hours, you get disturbed / woken up again because, for some strange reason, the music must be on loud in the breakfast room starting at 8 am. When you complain, you may hear that noone has ever had a problem with it which is the strange response I received from the lady who was in charge of the place in the morning. In a few other way she made me feel unwelcome and almost sorry we brought them some business. The only reason why I am not giving 2 stars is that the place has clearly been refurbished and they were generous with towels. Breakfast was acceptable except of the fact that coffee was only available from a machine. Not enough tea bags in the room.

travelling thru Czech, we've decide dto stay here again and it was good choice.
The room was clean, breakfast was good; there is also small parking place for guests we've used.
For any bad weather conditions, there is nice restaurant in the hotel ;)

We spent 2 nights at the hotel during a basketball tournament. Everything was fine. There was a little misunderstanding with the reservation, but we found a solution. Very good rooms, big beds, and the food is also excellent. We promised to come back next year!

Accommodation totally NOT suitable for children. The only four bed room is located upstairs directly on the bar with loud disco music. You literally feel that you are in the bar. At two o'clock the music stops which is, however, not any help as air-conditioning starts and stops at eight jn the morning so the bar is prepared for breakfast. Some smoke get accidentally to the room. I actually do not know for who can be such hotel suitable. :-/
The dinner was good and I believe that quests in the bar could have been satisfied but it did not serve good as four star hotel. The smell of cigarettes was everywhere, also in towels.
The lady at the reception was kind but she seemed to be surprised that we smellt cigarettes and tried to bagatelise the smoke experience in our room and lobby. We had to change the hotel.

We've spent here 1 night, in huge and elegant room with superbly comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom; the breakfast was good as well
the only negative remark goes to hotel restaurant, where smell of cigarettes was awful and pervasive; and btw the staff refused to close the door to smoking room (??!)

Stayed in Feb to do some skiing nearby. Two hrs from Prague on bus and we arrived to a very clean, modern room in this lovely hotel. Simona the hotel manager helped us with booking instructor for lessons and was very friendly. The bar was lively both nights and our evening food very good. Breakfast was a little disappointing hot food very basic. Overall this Irish bar and hotel though is a great base for local ski travel.

Just back from an amazing long weekend in this newly renovated hotel. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and they are spotless! We were there with our 2 kids and we took a family room....which was huge! We got a babysitter for our kids, which meant we could enjoy the hospitality downstairs. We went skiing in the nearby resort and we are penciled in to do likewise again next year!
