What an incredible experience. From the time Killian met us at the airport to the time we returned every minute was packed with excitement. We were greeted by the staff who treated us to a lovely cup of hot chocolate while we watched the Massai warriors perform. Or bags were taken to our room while we enjoyed an incredible meal. When I returned to my room there was a lovely fire started in the fireplace. The staff greeted me in the morning with a cup of coffee, where I enjoyed it on the deck overlooking the forest. Buffet breakfast was served, and picnic lunch prepared before we headed out for a guided tour of the Ngorongoro crater. Killian was an incredible guide, stopping to allow us to capture some incredible pictures and pointing out various wildlife. When we returned to the lodge, we were greeted by the Massai warriors once again. A delicious buffet dinner was served, and coffee was brought to my room where I enjoyed it in front of another fire. The next day we traveled to lake manyara, where again Killian gave an incredible tour. The wild life was so close, allowing for incredible pictures. On route to the airport we stopped at a Massai viliage, incredible how they live. The entire trip was well above all my expectations and would return without any hesitation. Thanks for the incredible memories.

Living in North America can make organizing a safari half way around the world challenging. Luckily we were given Ashari's name by a friend. W easily organized a weekend safari over WhatsApp. Ashari was easy to deal with all along. The price he quoted was less than one half of the other quotes I got. The entire weekend was smooth and spectacular. Killian picked us up from kilimanjaro airport for the 3 hour drive to the lodge (jeep was full of water bottles and snacks). Greated by Maasai warrior dancers-a real treat. Hotel was out of this world (although the website photos di not capture the real beauty of the place). After our welcome drink and check in, enjoyed a fabulous meal before retiring to our cozy room overlooking the forest. I can't get over the night sky and the quiet peace. Up early for buffet breakfast followed by 6 hour game drive in ngorangora crator. So many animals, right up close. Killian was expert at spotting lions and other game. Back to lodge late afternoon to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck while enjoying a thunderstorm. Sunday morning had a 30 minute drive to manyara lake. Very different, but many many giraffe and elephants. On route back to the airport we stopped at a Maasai village for a tour. I can't say enough great things about Asheri, Killian, the lodge and the game parks. Special kudos to Killian for his non profit company and work educating and supporting the children of his village. A noble cause (btw, he's always looking for volunteers). An easy trip for the weekend from Dar. I give this 10 out of 10!!!
