We stayed here so we could visit Banff and Jasper National Parks. Although 45 minutes from the park gate it was the right choice. Alan and Madeleine are charming informative hosts helping us plan our days out. We spent some time in the park and the rest around the b&b which has a great location on Abraham Lake. There are... A very special place,no doubt..every square inch of this beautiful eco-lodge,put together lovingly and thoughtfully by its owners, Alan and Madelaine, results in a stay that is both relaxing and refreshing. The rooms are airy and spacious, large windows offering generous views of the surrounding area,which-to us-had a dream-like beauty to it,,the bed was super-comfortable,everything immaculately clean and user-friendly. We can't rate this place highly enough. Firstly, the location. It is is beautifully set off Highway 11 on the shores of Lake Abraham, not quite in the middle of nowhere but certainly getting there (although it is only an hour and a half from the town of Rocky Mountain House). The views from the Lodge are truly stunning. It... More

One of the best places I have ever stayed. We stayed in one of the private cabins and were very impressed. It was very cozy and clean, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and lake. We stayed over the Family Day long weekend and would recommend it to anyone looking for private accommodations with a full kitchen. Better... More

In the first week of June, 2016 was my third trip to this lodge. The place continues to amaze me with cleanliness, good healthy food, excellent service, not to mention super hosts, Alan and Madeleine. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a top notch 12. Try it !!!!

Aurum Lodge is a special place of peace and tranquility, situated on Highway 11 just off H93 known as 'The Most Beautiful Road in the World'. It had just snowed when we visited in early May so the drive from Banff was spectacular. The lodge is adjacent to Kootenay Plains Ecological Reserve with a wonderful trail to Siffleur Falls. The... great weekend at the lodge, the hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The hiking tips and suggestions were perfect, and we really enjoyed the local hikes that we did. The lodge itself is quiet, very clean and the meals were incredible. This destination is well worth the drive, you will not be disappointed.

This extraordinary b&b lodge is the antidote to the crowds and impersonality of Banff: secluded and quiet but close to everything. In the summer it would be a great central location for all the scenic treasures positioned between Banff and Jasper. But I had the pleasure of staying in winter, when the crowds have gone, and the Rockies are arguably... More

Great facility in the Lodge, excellent home-cooked communal meals for lots of sharing experiences, and very accommodating hosts Madeleine and Alan--and all in an eco-friendly facility on a beautiful setting! We made trips to the Columbia Icefields and Jasper from this location, and enjoyed hiking the local well-marked trails along Abraham Lake.
