Spent the best five days of my life!!!
Had never experienced something so magical… This past days have been incredible!!!
Since the moment we arrived we felt at home. The staff was perfect!!!
They organized and guided through all the outdoor activities and made all of them so fun!!!
Our bedroom was so cozy and filled with details wherever you turned.
Had to try everything and don’t regret it. Hiking was magical, shooting was a lesson for me, axe throwing was so fun, horse back riding was incredible (I’m still dreaming about it), fly fishing was awesome, had the most amazing massage OMG!!!
Times at the fire place meeting new friends and a having delicious drink before dinner was great!!!

We travel a lot and this is by far one of our most memorable vacations. The entire Rawah staff was above and beyond helpful and friendly every day.

The Rawah horses are excellent trail animals and each guest is matched to a horse based on riding ability. The wranglers are confident, professional, helpful and friendly. My son and husband had very little experience with horses and can't wait to ride again. I have lots of riding experience and was matched to Smokey that had pep in his step and is a solid trail horse. My biggest concern about this type of riding was trail nags of which I didn't see any. Extra thanks to Hinkley for knocking out a merit badge, Grace and Britta for beautiful trails and views.

Mason was a terrific fishing guide! His patience and prep time made fly fishing more understandable and fun to try. He spent extra time with our son helping him to successfully cath 3 fish and fulfill his scout fly fishing merit badge. Hanging out in the stream, tossing a line, and taking in the mountain views is a wonderful way to spend a Tuesday morning.

Chris and Paul were really fun and helpful on the shooting range. My first time shooting skeet and they were helpful and fun! We all had a great time and saw a little wildlife too.

Abby, Kelcey, and Laura are amazing trail guides. Pointing out natural highlights, finding flora and fauna and keeping guests safe. These are fantastic hiking trails with lots to see and varying degrees of difficulty. During the week days we ran into very few people outside of ranch guests. Sounds like the weekends are pretty busy on the trails so something to think about when planning your desired activities.

The food is amazing! We are picky about quality and have been very underwhelmed at other resorts. Portions here are just right and the food is delicious! Breakfast covers all the basics and is freshly tailored to you. Eat as much or little as you would like. Lunch is on the lighter side which was perfect for us, and then yummy, fancy appetizers, and a delicious 3 to 4 course meal. They also take care of special dietary needs. The chefs, waitstaff, and bartender Chris all make you feel spoiled waiting on your every need.

Lisa and Brooks make you feel welcomed and excited to be on the ranch! Their hospitality was second to None! I can't leave out housekeeping either. So friendly and fast fixing up your cabin daily!

We truly wanted an active and adventure vacation and Rawah Ranch surpassed our expectations!
Thanks for the memories!

My husband and I took our 12 year old daughter to Rawah Ranch for a week and it was honestly the best vacation we have ever had! From the minute we pulled up and Meg came out to greet us, I knew this ranch was something very special. If you are considering a ranch vacation, look no further!

I can't say enough good things about our time there. We live in southern California and have never done anything like this before. I didn't know what to expect, and I hoped that it would be worth the financial investment, and it met and exceeded our high expectations.

The ranch is beautiful, the amenities are spotless and full of charm, the food was delicious, and the daily horseback rides were so fun. We enjoyed all of the activities like archery and shooting with Emily and Hunter, where our daughter shot her first gun. The fly-fishing was such a great experience, and the guides(Ted and Angelo) helped us catch 6 fish all together! They were so patient and knowledgeable.

The managers, Tim and Meg, are so wonderful, and all of the staff are seriously amazing. They are basically one big family that you want to be a part of, and by the end of the week, you feel like you are. Stacy makes you feel so welcome every time you walk into the lodge for meal time. Kevin, the bartender, was awesome. Jon, Bud, Britta, and Tim took us on awesome rides and showed us the most beautiful places. Every single person who works there is warm, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We loved the personal touches like coffee for us, hot chocolate for our girl, and fresh baked goods delivered to our door every morning. Anything we needed, like fans for the room at night, they went out of their way immediately to accommodate.

Our 12 year old daughter fell in love with the ranch, the horses. the staff, and especially, the dogs. She enjoyed swinging in the hammock with the friends she made, playing in the river, playing catch with the dogs, feeding the animals in the the petting zoo, catching her first fish, learning to lope on a horse, and just all the freedom of being a kid on a ranch for a week. She now wants to work at the ranch as a wrangler when she is older.

I have never written a review before, but I couldn't miss this opportunity. If you are like I was, you are reading review after review of many different ranches, trying to make a decision about where to go. I can assure you, if you choose Rawah Ranch, you will be glad you did. I am SO glad I found it, and we can't wait to go back!

Rawah is one of our favorite places for summer relaxation. It’s remote and comfortable, rustic and polished all at once.

The staff is a hard-working bunch. The wranglers are knowledgeable and great with riders of all abilities. Our son is a reluctant rider, but after some gentle, professional coaxing and a walk around the arena, he was ready to be a full-time cowboy.

It’s a short season in a remote location, so I’m sure staffing has been a challenge in the current environment (plus there was management change in February), but it didn’t affect our experience. In fact, one morning we noticed a wrangler filling in for the cook. It was a great meal and emblematic of how a small staff works together to deliver a fun experience for the guests.

Thanks to Brooks and his team for all the hard work!

I went with my family to Rawah as a college graduation trip. I’ve been trying to go to a dude ranch for 10 years, and this trip was well worth the wait. The ranch has unbeatable views on a river that winds through the property and was the perfect secluded place to getaway. All meals are provided for you and the chef/dining staff are great. The activities staff are very accommodating and housekeeping is super friendly. We also tried fly fishing for the first time, and the guides were very knowledgable and helpful.

The wranglers were nothing short of phenomenal. They have years of experience not only riding but also working at ranches like Rawah. It was clear they were holding the ranch together. They were all so friendly, patient and kept safety in mind on each ride.

The only issue we had was with management. Guests can usually ride every day, but the system to sign up for rides was changed a few days before we left. This new system kept a lot of us from being able to ride, which is a bit unfair considering the amount of money you’re paying at a ranch like Rawah. Another guest mentioned that in their five years of visiting Rawah, they had never had issues with not getting to ride until this year. It was clear to us and other guests that the ranch managers didn’t fit in at all or seem to know what they were doing. There were also several times after regular office-hours that the rest of the staff was attending to guests, but the managers were nowhere to be found. I’m not sure if they were even on the property.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Rawah thanks to the fantastic support staff. I would visit again, but I would hope to see management that is actually passionate about what they do at the ranch.

My time at Rawah was hands down one of my favorite stays ever. It cannot be overstated how breathtaking the Rawah Wilderness Area is (the beauty + the elevation). The ranch is a short trip from Fort Collins through a stunning Colorado mountain pass, and then when you pull up to the ranch you're greeted with the large Rawah entryway - you can't miss it. There's fishing, horse back riding, hiking, mountain biking, and plenty of snacks, food, and drinks always available. The cabins are very clean, heated, and the perfect place to crash at night. And in the morning, they'll bring you coffee/tea/pastries to your door. They were very accommodating with food & the bar is stocked very well!

Onto activities, the fly fishing was super enjoyable, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable. The wranglers & staff really seem to care about the guests & horses and want to see you enjoy your time on the ranch. I could not recommend this experience to someone more and cannot wait to return.

Our family just returned home from a week spent at the beautiful Rawah Ranch and we all can’t stop talking about what an amazing experience it was. We are a mixed group of 2 seniors, 4 adults and 4 children aged 5-8 and there was something for all of us.

The wranglers were exceptional and Britta went out of her way to make sure we all had amazing rides - even the children. The views and the wildlife were truly stunning. One morning my in-laws watched 6 bull moose enjoy the salt lick outside their cabin (Cowboys & Indians).

The kids program with Melody and Abby worked out perfectly allowing us adults to have time of our own in the mornings.

We tried all the activities the lodge has to offer from fly fishing to axe throwing to mountain biking and hiking to a remote glacier fed lake.

We also enjoyed the daily happy hour & evening activities which were a great way to meet the other guests and get to know the staff even better. By the end of the week we felt like the staff was family and it was so hard to leave!

Thank you to Brooks and the entire staff of wranglers, fishing guides, house keeping, chefs, etc for making our first ranch experience one we will not soon forget!

We chose Rawah Ranch to celebrate our 40th anniversary and were thoroughly delighted. This ranch is rare combination of adventure, raw natural beauty, comfort and most of all, authentic hospitality. Perfect. No cheesy "yeehaw buckaroo" type forced western experience, just the real deal. Good variety of horse rides, enjoyable fly fishing, comfortable cabins, plenty of good food, and opportunity to disconnect from media and meet new friends. The remoteness is part of the charm here where we encountered eagles, moose and trout. The staff is exceptional in every way going well above and beyond the expected to make your experience a lifetime highlight. We will return for sure.

We had a very memorable recent trip at Rawah. What a great time!

The entire staff was excellent and we found management to be very accommodating and friendly. The all inclusive food was delicious and our cabin was upscale in a rustic way, squeeky clean and comfortable.

Our time here was fun and adventurous but also completely peaceful and serene. You can be fly fishing one minute and relaxing in the hot tub the next.
Being from the city, we really enjoyed all of the wildlife on the property like horses, donkeys, hummingbirds and moose right outside our bedroom window every morning!

We were initially going to stay on the ranch for a full week, but I suggested cutting it short so we can drive down and spend some time hiking in the Rocky Mountains. In retrospect I really wish we spent the entire week at the ranch. We had such a great time every day, there was no shortage of fun activities and we were sad to leave. I really can't say enough good things about Rawah Ranch.

Is "glanching" a thing? Glamorous Ranching is what RaWah offers its guests...beautifully! Stunningly scenic country, rustic but nicely and thoughtfully appointed lodgings, numerous and varied activities, fabulous food... it's all there. The very best part, though, is the staff and management. Tim and Meg Dyer have put together a staff that just simply hums! They all clearly love what they do at RaWah, and their enthusiasm and skill are apparent. Angelo, our fishing guide, was so much fun to spend time with on the river. He can explain biology, habitat and technique in clever ways that really help. The wranglers were all highly skilled and wonderfully personable as well. The horses are top notch and very well cared for.
What a place! We'll be back!

Hello, Thank you for reaching out! Activities such as archery, hiking, sip and paint and scavenger hunt are options for that age group. They can also sign up for fly fishing if they are 12 years or older. As far as offering this to only that age group it will depend on who signs up for that day. We have a limited number of guests we can take out for each activity. If there are not any adults that sign up for archery, hiking, sip and paint and scavenger hunt we are more than happy to take a group of pre-teens out. Give me a call or email if you have any more questions! Thank you!
