This was such an amazing place to visit! Traveling solo wasn't a problem here, you are put into little groups and taken in different tours during the day. As it's so hot in the Amazon most days start off bright and early so you can relax at lunch time. Lots of wildlife to see, monkeys, birds, giant rat things, snakes,... More

My son and I stayed here for several days earlier in the week. I had been to the area before and stayed at another lodge so I find myself comparing the two. We saw a lot of wildlife at Sacha. As we approached our room there were monkeys all around. Very exciting start! Throughout our stay we saw different species... More

After being spoiled with animal interactions in the Galapagos Islands a week earlier it was difficult to spot anything in the rainforest mainly as the wildlifes main priority is to not be eaten so they are masters of camouflage and hiding We enjoyed the open cabins as the sounds at night were amazing ( even though seeing the culprits was... It’s a RAIN forest. Arriving under clearing skies in late June, our group of four were told that we "brought the sun, as it had been raining for 24 hours straight before we came." Alas, it didn't last. Rooms (***): We were in time for lunch, and then were shown our cabin rooms, adjoining in one of the cabins (203-204).... More

We spent 3 nights here and had an amazing time. This is the rainforest so it may well rain! Worry not, come prepared mentally for this eventuality and you will not be disappointed. The journey to the lodge is an adventure in itself. We left Quito, a modern airport with all mod cons, including English announcements and took the 25... More

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Sacha lodge, enjoying the lodge for what it provided. The lodge provides, comfort in the rain forest and some great viewing platforms to watch the wildlife. The things we liked; The lodge has some great viewing platforms above and inside the jungle canopy. The lake and the waterways around the lake provided... More

A wonderful stay in the rain forest. The early bird gets the worm and the early tourist sees the wildlife. Our room was big, comfortable and you get used to showering beside a screened window open to the forest! The tours are broken into small 4-6 guests with your own guide and- a native to the area- gentleman. Our Guide... More

First thing you need to know about this lodge is that you have to trek in about a mile and a half from the Napo River. IT'S NOT ON THE RIVER! Once you arrive at their landing site on the bank of the Napo and you’ve walking through the jungle for 1/5 miles, you're taken by small canoe to the... More

Visited Sacha Lodge for 3 nights. Situated within the rain forest and away from the river, on the side of a lake, it is a beautiful location. Cabins are not luxorious, but very comfortable. The lunches in the restaurant, overlooking the lake, are good, as is the food in the main restaurant in the evening. The guided canoe trips around... More

This was the most unique vacation experience we have ever had. We were 2 families with 2 adult children each (mid 20's). Our guides, Klinger and Shancho, were so knowledgeable and made sure to identify every possible bird, insect and animal that they could during our early morning, late afternoon and evening activities. The visit to a native Kichwa settlement... More
