We stayed at this hotel for two days. My plan did not include any meals but I am very satisfied because of hot spring. I could enjoy hot spring whenever I can. All employees are very reactive. Thank you again.

We stay in the room with private onsen bath at the balcony. The room and hotel was spacious. Even though the hotel is a bit aged and not the newest one around, the decoration and facilities were well managed. Our room was located in a separated building from the main hotel rooms. This gives us a high privacy and there...

The hotel is located along the Hida river across the bridge from the JR stations. As this is primarily an onsen town, expect to see numerous hotels dotted along both sides of the river and also on the hills. There is a free shuttle bus transfer to/from the JR station according to the train times. Do email the hotel directly...

Located either a 10 minutes walk from the station or less than 5 minutes on the complementary shuttle bus. Nice big room with an enclosed balcony area with a table and couple of chairs to relax in. The food was ample and very well presented. The reception, public areas and public bath area were functional but appear very dated. It...

Friendly staff and the room is spacious. Private Onsen is excellent too. However, facilities in the bathroom can be improved, for example shower screen is dirty and water temperature from shower head is inconsistent. Overall, experience is good and would recommend to others who are interested.

The reception has limited English capabilities. If you book a room only you have to request dinner and breakfast which are served in a private tatami room. The Kaiseki dinner was delicious as was the Japamese breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and wished I could have stayed longer. This is a hotel that caters to large groups and conferences....

This is a Japanese hotel where time has beautifully forgotten. I loved it. The staff and service were incredible. The actual building needs refurbing throughout, but that doesn't affect your stay. The breakfast is interesting, it's all set up for you in the restaurant on a table that matches your room number......totally Japanese, with two diligent women making sure your...

This is my 2nd onsen hotel stay. The first was a boutique ryokan with no English capability. So Bosenkan is a lot better in terms of language. The check in staff explained the whole check in very well, refreshing to know what's happening. Rooms were clean though there was a hint of smoke. Toilet and bathrooms were extremely small. The...

Location from Gero station is good. Transfer is provided by the hotel. English speaking reception. Hotel is old but with very good facilities. Good Japanese breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel restaurants. Good hot spring onsen facility. We enjoyed the two nights stay very much.
