This is my 2nd onsen hotel stay. The first was a boutique ryokan with no English capability. So Bosenkan is a lot better in terms of language. The check in staff explained the whole check in very well, refreshing to know what's happening. Rooms were clean though there was a hint of smoke. Toilet and bathrooms were extremely small. The... Location from Gero station is good. Transfer is provided by the hotel. English speaking reception. Hotel is old but with very good facilities. Good Japanese breakfast and dinner provided by the hotel restaurants. Good hot spring onsen facility. We enjoyed the two nights stay very much.

Hotel transfer was arranged from Gero train station. Very convenient. Good location. A few minutes walk from onsen street. Check in procedure was fast and smooth. Japanese style room was spacious and clean. Good view from the room. Dinner (included in the room price) was delicious. Hotel onsen was great, with both indoor and outdoor pool, very relaxing and comfortable.... More

The hotel provides free shuttle bus and it takes about 4 minutes to there. The staffs are very polite and helpful. They can speak English and Putonghua fluently. The Hot Spring Spa is wonderful. If you want to have privately, you can book the private spa and the cost is reasonable. The Japanese Breakfast is great and the Garden is... More

It is a very traditional hotel so you can taste the most original Japanese culture here. The owner, I guess, of the hotel contacted us in advance through online messaging to provide help and prepare for our arrive, which was really impressive. The staff are nice and helpful. The room is a bit old but clean and cozy. Breafast is... More

We received an email the night before our stay stating the shuttle bus would meet each train beginning at 13:30. Our train arrived at 13:27 so we were expecting to meet the shuttle as the next train arriving wasn't until after 14:30. We assumed wrong and decided we would just walk as it wasn't far. We did get slightly lost... More

This is the best hotel ever. The room is so nice, clean, and comfortable, with traditional Japanese tatami and a gorgeous view of the huge garden. The hot spring is so relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel also provides decent Yugata to wear. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The location is good with plenty of restaurants around and there... More

This is a very nice Japanese hotspring ryokan with very good hotspring facilities overlooking the river. Staff are friendly, offers breakfast plan for solo travellers, room is spacious with a Japanese garden view, highly recommended for people who are looking for hotspring facilities.

Nice service and hot spring. The room is spaceous. Though the hotel is a bit old but it offers good value! I rented a car and drove from Nagoya to Gero. It took me around two and a half hours. The hotel location is easily identified by GPS using the hotel phone number. Actually, because Gero is a famous and... More
