We've booked the smallest house, but there was enough space and a terrasse. Good kitchen with dishes, pans, big refrigerator etc. Beautiful place to relax, to enjoy the pool and the Mahe island itself - which is the best on Seychelles! The host is very nice lady, with her and her tips we could experience Mahe on its best.

The owner pretends to be a nice person but talking to her husband in French makes fun of tourists. What some people admire, fish in Creole is a regular grilled fish, with rice, salad and potatoes. Nothing fancy. The Lisette offer includes items that are later out of the room's equipment. The owner tells fairy tales about problems independent of her which is a lie. We asked our neighbors and they didn't have any problems at that time. Generally you can see that Lisette cheats tourists on its offer by pretending to be a nice person.

Response from lisette a, Owner at Kokogrove Chalets
Responded Sep 7, 2019
Luiza and her husband stayed with us in from 25th July to 1st August 2019, for one week . She booked her reservation through Airbnb at a discounted rate of only 45 euros per night, for an entire apartment. Immediately after their arrival we understood from her that we did not meet her expectations. She had a list of complaints, about the lizards and the small harmless spiders and other insects she found around the house. She apparently did not realize that we are living in a tropical country and that all sorts of insects are part of the tropical nature as we are enjoying it in the Seychelles. Though she was offered this special discounted rate, she overreacted and required special services including a free transfer of about 45 minutes ride. Our concern after discussing their several issues was not to argue about each point, but that she would find a suitable accommodation to her taste. As we apparently did not measure up to her wishes we offered Luiza and her husband a full refund. They did not accept our offer for a full refund on the first day of their arrival; instead they stayed with us and enjoyed a full seven days period on our premises, including a free dinner and a free transfer. However, once they were back home they requested a refund of about ninety percent. This means they wanted to pay only 10 euros per night for their whole stay. They threatened to post a bad review through Airbnb in case we did not refund them money. After Airbnb weighed the situation they concluded that we are not liable to refund them the amount they requested, and therefore they closed the case. Much to our surprise she does not stop, she now posts a second review through Trip Advisor, this time attacking the owner personally with harsh words. Luiza herself confirms in this review that she asked her neighbours if they had any problems, but that the neighbours confirmed that they were happy with their accommodation and had no issues at all. These same neighbours also contacted Airbnb explaining their experiences with Luiza and husband and how they witnessed Luiza's shocking and intolerable behaviour towards us. In the present review she talks about the owner and the husband. But there has always been only a single woman and her staff with no husband or partner at Kokogrove (she is now clearly making up another story). She further mentioned that the dinner is not fancy although it is admired by most guests, a statement that puzzles us a little bit. The review also states that we are laughing and cheating tourists by pretending to be a nice person. But how can you cheat people by being nice? The whole review does not make any sense at all, it purely shows that this a malicious attack, and also an attempt to revenge for not getting the financial refund she requested. These people are clearly taking advantage of the situation, which is unfair to say the least. Management Kokogrove Chalet.

the place is awesome, surrounded by tropical trees and a very clean tropical garden where the pool is. beautiful flowers and refreshing bath were a very good option after a day around the island. the closest beach is the nicest for me. the owner offered twice a delicious fish bbq. She is a very nice and person of good heart. you do need a car to be there, but the parking is small and road are generally very narrow so it is sometimes difficult. there are plenty of mini markers and fruit markets around even if prices (like anywhere in the Seychelles so far) will make you wish you brought your own bananas and mangos from home! why are they more expensive than back home? very disappointing. ... we stayed in the first bungalow my mum and I. the kitchen is well equipped and the shower/toilet very nice. the room is cleaned daily. the leaving room has a big round sofa that i was using as a bed while my mum was sleeping in the double bed in the bedroom. air con was not very strong and we could have used a fan but we really can't say anything wrong about this place. check out is strictly before 10:00 and check in after 12:00. there are only 3 bungalow so the staff needs the time to clean for the next guest. we spent circa 57 euro/night each, so 114 euro/night for the bungalow.

We stayed at Kokogrove for 5 days at the end of October. We loved everything about it and so did our kids. Our 2 year old loved exploring the beautiful garden and our 7 year old couldnt get enough of the pool. The view is breathtaking. Only imagine sitting near the pool overlooking Anse Royale and a glass of wine? Or a dinner made freshly by Lise and her crew! What else do you want? Lise is fantastic, helpful and lovely with kids. The place is perfect for a family. Enough space and clean. You need a car though....but the location is fine to explore the Island. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

While going through a wide selection of self-catering apartments we made the best decision to book Kokogrove Chalets as the first accommodation of our trip to Seychelles. The chalet was super clean amd so was the pool in the middle of the garden. The high-level sea view and the jungle atmoshere just added to our feelings. Car is highly recommended for the place, but so it is for the Island of Mahe to make the trip worthwhile. Lise organised a car for us and we also had a complementary fish grill dinner, which was just perfect. Most recommended place to stay in Mahe.
