Our daughter Jessica Howard is the Head Pastry Chef and you can call us biased! But we had afternoon tea today and what Jess and her team delivered was superb with lovely service as well all freshly made nothing bought in on volume , listening to other diners they were as equally impressed. Anyone who likes nice food and lovely environment should head to Fairlawns because not many places serve fresh food made from scratch as good ! 10 out of 10 👏👏👏

It is just lovely to ready your kind review, obvious pride and happiness with you experience. Thanks for sharing such kind words. We are really proud of the quality of home cooked produce we serve at afternoon tea and of course Jess is so important to us in that. What she and Chris have done with the quality of the freshly prepared items is really a source of great pride for us as a business. Keep up the good work team and thanks for your lovey review.

When looking for a wedding venue Fairlawns Hotel and Spa was the most beautiful friendly place we found. When planning our wedding we found Joanne and her team so helpful and supportive through out the whole process. The say before we got married myself and my bridal party booked into the spa for the day and we were all blown away. Not only are all the facilities clean, tidy and beautiful but the staff alone were exceptional. Each and every one went above and beyond to help us with the day and made it incredibly relaxing. The treatments were sensational we each had a couture full body massage and my one bridesmaid had a mother to be massage which we each found so relaxing. When we came out of the sap we needed to take our things to our room and one of the managers Atahir kindly offered to take some of our bags up for us. The day of the wedding the staff bought our breakfast to our room which was delicious to say the least. The staff called up to check if we needed anything while we were getting ready which was so kind. From there when we were leaving to head out to the church Sadiq who was the master of the reception checked in on us and helped us get to the car. When we returned married all of our guest were catered to with drinks and canapés. From there the day seemed to fly by as we all had the most wonderful time. We sat down for our wedding breakfast which was beautiful, all of our guests commented how lovely it was and how each course got better and better. I can highly recommend the mushroom wellington and the passion fruit cheese cake. Our evening reception was fantastic and that was totally down to the staff, they served our evening buffet. They seemed to enjoy the evening as much as we did. The morning after we had breakfast with all of our guests that stayed at Fairlawns and they had set up the room with our table decorations which made it feel so special. Again the staff were amazing and couldn’t have done more for us all. all of our decorations were ready and waiting for us to take away which was so helpful. Honestly I couldn’t recommend Fairlawns enough, if you want the best service you could hope for this is where you should go. Thank you so much Joanne, Sadiq, Atahir and all of the lovely staff you will always be a special place for us. And we will 100% see you soon! Hannah & Jon x

Fab Mother’s Day . Singer who was very good . Prosecco on arrival . Excellent started of soup and Salmon. Massive main course , loads of beef and lamb. Extra Yorkshire and extra gravy . Lovely puddings , trifle , chocolate tart . Excellent service by the waiters/ waitress’s. Only negative the room was so hot and needed some air con , which they put on eventually when the room wasn’t so packed.

A super stay. Room 62 has a four-poster bed with starry lights on the canape. A bath at the end of the bed. Was a beautiful room. The staff are so friendly and attentive and the whole hotel has a very relaxing, peaceful atmosphere and smells lovely. The dinner (beef bourguignon) was beautiful and breakfast was excellent. My wife loved the Swedish massage. We'll be back!

Lovely birthday weekend stay at Fairlawns. Stayed in room 48 which was very comfortable with two bathrooms (one disabled). Food at breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was very good. There is an option to have breakfast in bed. The thing that makes this hotel special is the staff, everyone we came across was very friendly and helpful and Hayley in the restaurant was a star! The only minor niggle would be the same menu in the restaurant on two nights was alittle repetitive but not really an issue. Lovely surprise with a cake and card. Would visit again if in the area.

What a lovely place. We only stayed for one night as we were attending a family party locally. From check in to check out all the staff we encountered were helpful and very friendly which gave the whole place such a warm atmosphere. We ate in the bar on the afternoon we arrived and we couldn’t fault the food or the service. Breakfast staff were all very warm and welcoming and there was something for everyone on the menu. Parking was plentiful and free. If we were back in the area again I would definitely stay here again. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in for some time.

We visited today 28th for lunch as a group of 5 to celebrate my upcoming birthday and it couldn’t have been any better. The service from the moment we arrived and food were equally fantastic. The staff working were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. I myself had fish cake starter and spatchcock poussin both were beautiful just unfortunately didn’t leave any room for desserts. I was presented with a lovely personalised birthday dessert plate. Will definitely be back to try other dishes which all sounded phenomenal.

From the warm greeting on arrival it just got better . We were allocated room 50 which was huge with 2 sinks , 2 dressing areas , 2 mirrors and chairs plus two other comfy chairs . The spa area was clean and well Maintained . There is an area which is closed due to a refurb however still 3 sauna areas , pool , hot tubs and the gym . I had a 50 minute body contours treatment which was very good . We had dinner which was of a very high standard and great service from the staff . We had breakfast which was locally sourced and top quality produce. Elliot looked after us on both dining occasions along with a lovely young man and lady at dinner . My only disappointment was the spa lounge ( now birch cafe ) I was expecting a little more although the brownies were very tasty . On previous visits the grazing bar looked more inviting . I will most certainly be back and especially the Sunday slumber offer which included 2 delicious cocktails .

We used the Cedar room at the fairlawns yesterday for a wake. The sales team, in particularly Jo made the process very easy. As we do not live local she was at hand to answer and queries and really made the process a lot easier and stress free. Elliot was really helpful once we were in the room at hand to answer any questions and clear up some broken glass when a picture frame was knocked over . The buffet was lovely and vegetarian options served separately. I loved the touch of adding a candle by my fathers in laws picture as well. Would definitely recommend the Fairlawns as a venue for a wake. Thank you 🙏🏻
