Whoever runs the restaurant and kitchens clearly know what they are doing. I dined at the restaurant today for a family Sunday lunch for 7. Everything was faultless, seriously. The food was incredible and the service was truly on another level. They even thought to sit 7 of us on a round table rather than a long one which always means the 7th person is out on the edge. The decor was clean and luxurious without making you feel uncomfortable. The restaurant staff worked as a team and it showed. The food was so so good. My first time at the fairlawns and it won’t be my last. Well done, all of you.

My wife and I enjoyed a brilliant spa day, and we also stayed the night in the hotel to celebrate my birthday (away from the kids). Every member of staff we interacted with were fantastic and genuinely friendly and accommodating, from the staff working in the spa, the hotel reception, the bar, the restaurant, housekeeping. The spa is amazing, our room (we were upgraded) was lovely, clean and quiet and the food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was superb. The smallest of personal touches made this so special like being referred to by my first name, a birthday card in the room (and at the table in the restaurant), happy birthday confetti in the spa restaurant. Such helpful staff and nothing we asked for felt like a hinderance. We both left wishing we could have stayed for a lot longer. It is worth noting that I literally live in hotels for my work, and this was by far one of the nicest stays and such a massive change from the big hotel chains. Would return in a heartbeat! Call out for the young lady on reception (bringing us ice buckets, coffee and fresh milk), Ebony (showing us around the spa), Mo and the tall guy in the bar, the blonde-haired gentleman who served us dinner, the lady who welcomed us at breakfast and Jade who served us, and not forgetting the lovely lady who has (loved) working there for 30 years in the spa restaurant (thanks for the extra cake, I won’t tell anyone!) Well done #TeamFairlawns #SmashedIt”

The total experience at this hotel was fantastic however I have to say how impressed I was so impressed with the friendly face Becky at breakfast, what a lovely person..she was so bubbly and so nice I felt I have to say something. Becky is a great representative for the hotel and with her personality people will undoubtedly return...I will. Thanks Becky for starting my day off in such a great manner.

We had a birthday party weekend there and have mixed feelings. The staff are outstanding the room was large and comfy There aren’t any USB points at the bed end and bathroom tiny in comparison with a confusing shower control. However my gripe We paid £124 special rate but then looked at booking.com that was well cheaper and included SPA I think. However have never stayed in any hotel where they charge extra £15 for 2 hours of Spa and Gym use it’s usually included. Now I only wanted to use the gym so declined to pay However as I Travel a lot and use hotels a fair bit I will be giving Fairlawns a miss because of that and hence this hotel missed out on marketing to me. Now the food served was at best avg and not off the standard I would expect. The disco was abysmal the DJ is clueless .

Thanks for visiting, for saying some nice things about our business and us as a team. Thanks also for your constructive comments and feedback. We always accept criticism square on the chin and always put ourselves under pressure to improve our service levels. We value your insight and first hand experience as our guest. As part of our commercial agreement with booking.com we have rate parity with them - so the best rates are ALWAYS found directly; not via a third party. Warmly John

The staff were so warm and welcoming, but Julian in the restaurant was fabulous and was so attentive and pulled out all the stops to squeeze us in for dinner on Saturday night which topped off the weekend for us! I booked this as a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend and wasn't disappointed, the spa facilities were fantastic and were kept clean and I felt safe using them especially during the current coronavirus situation. We had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner in the restaurant and the food was flawless, and the atmosphere during our evening meal was incredible and felt very romantic with a musician playing the saxophone live in the restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean and the grounds of the hotel are absolutely stunning, especially at night. I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff for such a special weekend! I will definitely be visiting again.
