There are four signs on the highway advertising this as a big 4 park. It is not anymore. When asked, the managers responded that they're not anymore, but "didn't raise prices". They need to clean the amenities. A group stayed that partied late into the night. Management didn't ask them to calm down. Won't stay again. Butterflies were nice.

At $25.00 this was a lovely spot that was well hidden from passing traffic and a good spot for a little R and R. On grass and most of it green. They had a pool, but just a few hundred yards down a bit of a track there was a small creek you could also get wet in. Along a... More

Whilst travelling down from Darwin we stopped at Hayes creek road house for a break and refuel. Whilst we were there my Husband suffered a mild stroke and the Female Manager bent over backwards for us. she stored our Caravan for the time my husband was in Hospital back in Darwin for total cost of $25.00. The Pies she makes... More

I really enjoyed my stay here but it may not be for everyone. It looks a bit like it was once a posh camping ground which has gone a bit to seed, but for 15 A$ a night for a campervan who's complaining? The people in the bar who run it are really friendly and the swimming pool is great.... More

The manager said he had just taken over and there was a lot to be done. I really hope he manages it because it has the potential to be a lovely place. The pool was closed when we were there which was particularly unfortunate as it was incredibly hot. The creek was lovely. The washrooms need a good spruce.

Just spent 3 Days camping at Hayes Creek. Neat shady camp sites, clean facilities, great pool, short walk to beautiful little creek where you can swim. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Great place to base your self for a few days, heaps to do and see nearby. We will be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was about 30-45 min from the Douglas hot springs. I had a good meal, Tuesday night was steak night. I recommend the steak. The atmosphere of the caravan grounds were nice with a swimming pool. Apparently its possible to walk from Hayes Creek to Butterfly Gorge and is about 800m. Check at reception for... More
