We had a great relaxing time here. Joseph is a great host and the best part was going on a tour of the city and festivals around Kollam with Francis the tuc tuc driver, he is so knowledgable and took us to the most amazing festival where we got to mingle with all the locals, amazing.

Not far from the busy centre of Kollam, down a lane and you have tranquility on the lake. Pleasant cool rooms Hammocks in the gardens. Excellent advice and ability to help with travel plans. Very sadly, the chef was taken ill and died while we were there so spirits were low. But even despite this terrible tragedy, they provided us...

Stayed here for 1 night and Joseph the owner could not of been more helpful. After arriving he offered to drive us around to see the town which was small but beautiful. He then organised our overnight boat trip on the backwaters which picked us up outside the villa and dropped us next morning at our next hotel. The food...

The location of Ashtamuidi Villas is beautiful, the rooms are well appointed, and the bathroom in very clean. Sadly there is no AC, which makes it very hot. In hindsight, I realized that the lake probably soaks up heat all day long and then emits it at night, making it horribly hot even at night. There are no window screens...

The villas are in a quiet and pretty garden setting next to the lake, and overall rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The owner, Joseph, is really helpful about letting guests know what is going on each day, and I especially liked the communal dining table which enables guests to share experiences. Personally I found the heat in the room...
