Best selection of whiskies outside of Islay! Great atmosphere and a very knowledgable and friendly host. Didn't have time to try the food but menu looked fantastic. Well worth a visit when touring the Black Isle

We very much enjoyed our dinner last night at this pleasant bar/restaurant. The menu is interesting and varied. Wife had prawn and avocado in Creole dressing. I had black pudding and crispy egg (really). I then had sea bream Thai style that was excellent. Irene had a second starter of scallops and crab without the mornay sauce but an alternative... More

What a great place to spend the last night of our holiday in the highlands! Quirky and characterful yet very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the owner went out of his way to speak to all the customers and make sure everyone was having a good time. We had a drink in the public bar where the... I stayed here twice and it is a totally unique.beer/spirit and culinary experience. I work in hospitality and I am happy to tell everyone that this is my favourite pub in the whole of the U.K. If you love amazing beers go there, if you love fantastic food beyond the norm you should go there, and if you love amazing... We stayed here one night and had dinner in the evening. Both accommodation and food was fantastic. Really nice atmosphere and the two pubs are amazing (whisky and beer pub). A would highly recommend a visit to the Anderson and Fortrose.

The public bar smelt just like an old style pub, rarely found in these days of 'themed' bars. The owner and staff were welcoming and very friendly as always, this was our third visit but the first time we stayed. Great selection of beers on tap and bottled, we had a great conversation with the others in the bar and... More

The food is honestly brilliant, Including American food cooked by an American! Good wine list but availability on wine both times I've been has been poor. Service is a massive downfall, the waitress are friendly but the order gets muddled up and meant in the second visit here every single course was wrong! We knew to expect a lesser service... More

We went to The Anderson expecting big things, but after bieng seated we waited a very long time for food, the starter was terrible and the main was very overpriced, when I pay £17 for a burger and chips I at least expect home made chips not frozen french fries, the burger was so dry and my partners meal was... We visited The Anderson for an evening meal. The service throughout was poor and the quality of the food was not great. Our fish was overcooked -,probably because we had to wait a long time for our order. It was over priced for what we got. I would not recommend

We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Chanonry Point to see the dolphins in the Moray Firth. We were welcomed by Damien (a real asset to the hotel) who was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The room was relatively basic, but very comfortable and clean. There is a 'pub' like bar with a huge variety of... More
