It's been 10 years since my last visit, a biographical resort movie and triple-threat disaster later, and Hawaiians seems to be thriving, adding attractions and hotel space, not necessarily upgrading the main property but offering more choice for more people. That's allowed it to raise prices - a 1-night stay minimum with food and accommodation included for a family of 4 is near ¥65,000, plus many water rides and treatments are easily another ¥10,000. The dance show in the property's 50th year entertains in a cross between Waikiki, Takarazuka, and Bollywood. It's hard to find fault, but the water rides should be in one early price package, and not forcing the carrying of cash in a pool, and the chlorine is intense - the onsen element of spa water is hard to find. Moreover, though, family loved it, I'm trying not to look at the bill, and it's now 3 hours back to Kanto. More

Spa is great - Japan style.
The resort and the pool side are amazing.
The Hawaiian dance are breathtaking and hypnotizing to see how the girls shake their hips.
The fire dance show was a mouth opener.
Enjoyed the food very much. We had the viking (open buffet) dinner and breakfast. Large variety of foods.
The hotel rooms were very accommodating and spacious.
We had Hawaiian resort clothing waiting for us making us feel part of the place.
Very nice variety of shops and things to do.
Top of all, the service was top of the line, and unlike resorts in North America were they expect a tip for service, I ask them why not accept tip and mentioned that it is their pride and culture.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.
