Very popular pub, had been before but not for a long time. Serves food until 8.30 on Saturdays, we went about 7pm and got the last table. Friendly staff, nice menu and some specials. Very big portions so glad we didn't have a starter. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Reasonable prices.

we have been for a meal here or just dinks on a regular occasion, this place is warm friendly serves the best food and beer around, the staff are friendly polite and are a real credit to the establishment, if you like a real pub with real beer and 5 star home cooked food then this is the place to... 2 excellent meals for £15. We thought they would be small portions with being on offer. Fish and chips came on an oversized plate and it was gorgeous. Nice gardens and parking available for this lovely little pub

Having heard sooooo often that RL's burger night is great and at last with time to try. We weren't disappointed!! Presentation was excellent and derive if a little slow was great too! Would thoroughly recommend the burgers as a naughty but very nice treat!

Food is okay I suppose menu is tired and bland, the service is appalling, simple things like having to ask the same waitress 3 times for some Mayo (how hard can it be to remember?) no diet drink options on offer during our visit and then the girl behind the bar pulling a face when you ask to split the... Living locally and having heard good reviews we decided to visit for Sunday lunch. As mentioned in other reviews the pub is in need of modernisation but that shouldn't put you off. We were seated fairly quickly after first being offered a drink at the bar. It was fairly busy at first so I wasn't surprised when the waitress took... More

Booked a table for 4 people in the restaurant last Saturday night having read good reviews in Trip Advisor. The pub itself is a little dated and in need of some modernisation, as is the restaurant which also needs painting. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Starters very nice - fishcakes, prawn cocktails and pate. However the mains exceeded... More

We dined at this pub restaurant because our son and his wife were staying in the onSuite accommodation so it was convenient for them as well as ourselves as we live nearby.I must say that the food is really fantastic, and rather large portions they were too. We will definitely be eating there again, so if you are in the... More

The reason for the 3 stars? One person. The barmaid. From the moment we arrived and requested a table, her attitude was 'Do I have to?' Thousand yard stare, no eye contact, no greeting, no smile, nothing. This woman is a mood hoover, and is undoubtedly costing the Red Lion business. I know WE won't go back there if she... More
