Dendrolivano means "Rosemary" in Greek and is an apt name for our hotel given that the entire property is lined with Rosemary; resulting in that the scent in the air compliments the beautiful natural scenery. It is a family-run business and aims to treat each guest as a visiting family member; home cooked meals, traditional recipes, natural products, free bicycle rentals, a playground for our younger guests, a barbecue, a pool and many more amenities that will create a complete experience while visiting our island. The Greek Coffeehouse located on the grounds, under the shade of our olive tree enhances the Greek experience. Everything we do is guided by three Greek values: Hospitality. Simplicity. Tradition.

"Dendrolivano" is superb! We booked the bungalow that has a private garden. The room was nicely furnished and spacious. The king size bed very comfortable. Overall the facility is baby friendly with a huge garden, hummocks everywhere and an infant playground in which our son occupied himself for hours (something that parents need if they have a toddler-preschooler)! The facility offered baby sitting as well. It is close to amazing beaches and the main town. The owners and the personnel are very nice people, friendly and accommodating. Finally, we really enjoyed the homemade breakfast and BBQ on Saturdays. It is highly recommended! Corina

A lovely relaxed and quiet find. Some may complain about the airport, but I was well aware how close it was after checking on a map, and having stayed nearby previously, knew that there were so few flights most days that it wasn't a problem. The rooms are furnished well, and a splash of colour makes a welcome change from the usual white walled studios. The king size bed is unusually comfortable! Breakfast is served to your room in a little wicker basket and is something home made and different everyday. We have not been disappointed once, Siora Stella makes very good cake and pies! Little touches like hammocks and bean bags make this a very relaxing setting. The owners and staff are lovely, and Labros will happily explain about all the fruits in the garden! Definitely a place for a repeat visit!

After reading great reviews, I was probably expecting more from this place. The people there are really nice and available for everything, the rooms are clean and the swimming pool is OK. However, the noise of the planes taking off or landing is quite annoying; the breakfast is just ok; the food is average and the price is not that cheap. In the end, I would come back only for max 1 night if I will need to stay close to the airport.

We stayed in a studio room for two nights at the end of our holiday In Kefalonia but it was over too soon. Elisabet gave us the warmest of welcomes and we soon were chatting away like old friends, we then met Lambros and the lovely Stella who own the property. The whole place is testament to their hard work and dedication, the beautiful foliage of the gardens makes Dendrolivano a real find. Our studio was so clean and well equipped with a very comfortable bed and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Breakfast, which is included in your stay is delivered by the lovely Elena to your door each morning in the most charming gingham lined basket with a different selection of goodies to enjoy on your own balcony, such a delightful idea and so fresh and well prepared. This gives you an idea of the attention to detail made by the owners, Elena lets you know which lovely dishes are on the menu for the evening made by the wonderful Stella and certainly not to be missed. We enjoyed moussaka, souzoukakia and an amazing mountain lamb slow cooked to perfection, this is enjoyed in the small taverna area next to the bar. The house wine is excellent and Lambros is joined by the charming Gerry in the evening to look after the guests. The swimming pool is so clean with enough sunbeds for all although it was never crowded. The closest beach is Spasmata which is a just short walk away. I wish we had arranged to stay longer but we will have to return to this beautiful place again. Thank you all for making our stay a memorable one.
