I will try and give a fair review, we were due to stay five nights and checked out after two. This hotel should have the theme music the boulevard of broken dreams, this hotel has so much potential, but in its current state is simply ruining well earned holidays.

Giving the place a good scrub, opening up the restaurant and bar by the pool, lightening the bedrooms and decor would make such a difference to this place as the location is superb.

Highs - the location is right on the beach and a large, deep swimming pool. The air conditioning in our room worked. The staff in the restaurant were welcoming and the breakfast was ok

Lows - the swimming pool is dirty, there is great pool bar, that is never opened and has not for some time. The room we had, without a balcony was the grimmest, darkest space we’d ever slept in, it sucked the joy out of you as soon as you walked in. When we spoke with reception to move rooms we were told it was not possible, even after I showed I was able to book a room with a balcony online. He then said he would check with the manager, we heard nothing so we checked out. We are grateful to be able to do this, the honeymoon couple they’d put in a room with two single beds with an unmovable chest between them didn’t have that luxury. Hopefully the reception eventually responded to their complaint.

In summary do not stay in this hotel unless it clearly states it’s been refurbished.

Reservation made 1 month in advance and even so upon arrival I was allocated a twin room, when I questioned the reception they said a double room only depending on availability. Bed sheets much shorter than the bed itself, bathroom without bidet towels, even though there is a bidet. Wardrobe doors don't close. Quality price leaves a lot to be desired.

I stayed two nights in this hotel together with my partner because we were given a smartbox and it was one of the few facilities available. The hotel is about 30 minutes drive from the airport and in the evening a taxi driver charged us 56 euros to get to the hotel!!! To get to Lisbon by public transport it takes about 30 minutes and about 15 minutes to get to Cascais, Carcavelos station is about 1 km walk from the hotel. The breakfast is excellent and very abundant there is everything and more both sweet and savory and fruit. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and is very close to the sea, there are many surfers, the sea in my opinion is not that great. The room had a nice little balcony overlooking the pool and the sea, it's a shame that there was carpet on the floor in the room which gave off a bad smell which was the most unpleasant thing!!! Bathroom, room, towels and sheets clean but not exactly perfect. It is very hot in the room and there is no minister, even if bottles of water are offered upon arrival. There is a problem with the power sockets, even for charging cell phones, since they only work if the light is turned on. In the evening, at least in that period, there was nothing special in Carcavelos, just a few restaurants to eat. For those who want to visit Lisbon like me I don't find it very convenient, better to choose a hotel in the centre.

I’m surprised to see so many bad reviews for this hotel, it must have improved a lot in recent times. I found this hotel lovely and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great pool which goes all the way from 0.8m deep to 3.8 metres deep so good for everyone, and it even has a little diving board. There is a pool bar but unfortunately it was not open at the time of my visit, perhaps it will reopen in high summer. The restaurant is on the 8th floor with an amazing view of the sea to look out on while you have your free buffet breakfast. There could be a few extra amenities in the room like a kettle or a fridge but that wasn’t a major issue for me. The location is also great because it’s so close to a beautiful beach, it only takes a couple of minutes to walk there. There’s also plenty of restaurants and cafes near by. Overall a really good stay.

This hotel located opposite Carcavelos beach is ideal for its location because it is halfway between Lisbon and Cascais but also allows you to reach the magnificent Carcavelos beach in just a few steps.
From the outside it looks a little old but the rooms are nice although a little sad.
The bedding is excellent. Breakfast on the 8th floor is an asset to start the day off right.
This hotel also offers parking which is located behind the hotel and it is very practical. In the evening the door is closed.
The price is not too high so good step. Have a good trip

This hotel is advertised as a 4 star hotel. That rating is no longer accurate. It must have been a very long time ago that they received that rating from Turismo de Lisboa. It is now an old, tired hotel with minimal services. There is no gym and the pool was closed. With the exception of breakfast, there is no restaurant or room service. The bar is very limited. The rooms are very dated, with no safe and my single bed had a plastic mattress cover that made sleeping hot and strangely slippy, and my friend found a cockroach in her bathroom.
There are some positives. The air conditioners are quiet. The shower, although in a bath with a curtain, was warm and powerful. Breakfast was quite good and the view from the 8th floor restaurant where breakfast is served is lovely. And the staff were all perfectly pleasant.

I was in this hotel for the 5th time and i was suprised. Rooms are still the same; bed and shower are definitely ok. The view from your room (book a seaside room) is also the same and is breathtaking. The suprising thing was the breakfast; its ten times better than it used to be. And also the staff is very friendly and very helpfull (especially Sophia). People complaining there is no hotel bar should go out and walk 50 meters; just round the corner of the hotel there is a nice square with plenty of restaurants and bars. Any criticism? Yes, the CEO of the hotel refuses to repair the elevator and main entrance, which is not comfortable. Will i come back? Definitely.

Pros: great location, 2 min walk to the beach, restaurants right on the square behind and 10 min walk to the train station to go to Cascais or Lisbon. Swimming pool rather large with bar and snack where it is easy to find a deckchair. Beautiful view of Carcavelos Bay with a small balcony.
Cons: obsolete room with doors that lock badly, extra bed for the 3rd person in a Beginner Suite (a real bed would be more suitable!). 7th floor with magnificent views but just under the breakfast room so noise of chairs and others very early in the morning....

This is a lovely location on a wonderful beach. The property is tired though and the Wi-Fi doesn’t really work well in the rooms, neither does the power - not all of the sockets work, which makes it hard to charge anything. Staff and friendly and the pool is nice.

4-star hotel that is not even in dreams. Friendly staff, but from here nothing more. A nightmare night of noise from the pub/disco throughout the night, at 6 a.m. the noise on the 8th floor is unbearable. Impossible to have a restful night.
The pool is reasonable, but it should be cleaned as there are leaf residues at the bottom. I do not intend to go back to the hotel that says 4 stars when in the background it is only 3.
