Absolutely the best in the area. I have stayed in the Riviera Hotel couple of times and have to tell, it’s a very clean, very reliable and affordable hotel. This time I spent 24 nights in the hotel. Each and every employee worked hard to keep the room, lobby, restaurant etc. in the best shape. The food is excellent, taste like home made, all the servers, chefs made enormous job to keep the restaurant in the best shape at the morning breakfast when a lot of people are coming at the same time. Obrigado Paula! The rooms are decent size and clean, the bed was hard for me but the linens are spotless as the towels. Check in and out was super easy and fast. (Happy Birthday to the young lady at the reception!) Plenty of parking spaces around the hotel and under the hotel too for a fee. Most definitely will come back!…
Excellent service received from all staff especially the restaurant staff with fantastic language skills, making us feel very welcome. Impeccable dinning and bar friendly experience with great quality food and ingredients. Good reception assistance with our enquires for trips and very easy train travel just €4 return to Lisbon! Great location to fantastic beach. Looking forward to returning as enjoyed our stay.
Us three ladies stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. It was very spacious with a large balcony and a big living room that had two hide a beds. One king bed, two twins so easily sleep 6 persons. The rate was very reasonable for the size of the suite. The beds were very comfortable too. Beautiful atrium that went up 6 floors in the middle of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, so much to choose from and it was included in the price of the room. Very convenient location, just minutes to Carcavelos Beach. There are many restaurants to eat at on the beach. We walked to Cascais, which wasn't too far. Just a fabulous place to stay for four nights!
Our family of four stayed in the family suite for a week and had a lovely experience. The suite was spacious and perfect for our two daughters who each had their own bed and they had their own separate bathroom as well. The hotel breakfast was awesome. Also the location was perfect. It’s in an area that doesn’t feel like a tourist shopping mall, but close and easy to get to Lisbon, Cascais, Sintra etc. While the property is slightly older, it was well maintained and the service from the hotel staff was wonderful. The only thing I wished it had was a hot tub. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely stay there again.
Disappointing: We checked in super late and the front desk agent made us wait one hour to check in while he called area hotels trying to find a room for a disgruntled guest. This is highly unusual, especially when he already checked someone in while we were waiting. The rooms were tired-looking. Mold in the shower and urine stains around the base of the toilet made it seem like housekeeping doesn't spend much time cleaning. I suggested a once/twice per year deep clean on each room. The only nice part of the stay, which we consequently didn't enjoy, was the breakfast. The staff at breakfast was friendly and accommodating. Hence why I am scoring the hotel a 2 and not a 1.
Went in a huge group.. lovely place.. 40 mins from lisboa town centre Has a small shopping area attached.. good food and grocery. Close to beach Spacious Good service Break fast was awesome.. fresh cheese and yoghurt Good choice away from crowd Hop on hop off comes close to this hotel Metro close too
Very clean. Staff very nice, helpful and always with a smile. Location is perfect for the beach. Mall next door is perfect for little amenities. Breakfast is delicious, maybe they could add a pancake machine. You must try the oranges, they are so sweet
We really enjoyed our 10 day stay at Riviera Hotel Carcavelos. The staff were excellent, professional and couteous. Reception, the waiting staff in the mornings, hotel cleaners etc were all so helpful and obliging and we really enjoyed our time at the St Anthony's festival buffet by the pool. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and as is the case with the entire hotel, kept clean to a high standard. Recommended for good value for money.
This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful area of Portugal. The hotel is modern and super clean. Staff are very professional. Rooms are generous in size and several have sea views with balcony. The beautiful sandy beach is less than a ten minute walk away. For those wishing to travel into Lisbon there is a train station close by which will take you directly into the city for just a few Euros. This was a very enjoyable stay topped off by attending a Champion’s League match - Sporting Lisbon 0 Manchester City 5
I canfully recommend the Riviera Hotel. IT IS located within walking distances to the beach and to the Cascais train line. Nice quite atmosphere and great facilities. Everything you need for a relaxing experience.
