Fresh made donuts every morning with unlimited coffee juice and oatmeal great breakfast. Doughnuts were some of the best I ever had!! The view is spectacular... the resort is old but has its charm... the staff is friendly and the resort is clean
Very happy. Staff was very friendy & cooperative & helpful. I inspected the room before we rented it per suggestion of the checkin staff because of my hesitancy over reading other bad reviews. Our room 410 was perfect: clean, well stocked, & housekeeping was great, A/C was easy to use. The bed and pillows were wonderful and seemed brand new.I am sure the balcony chairs were new. I will return and will suggest to my family to use Perry's again.
Stayed there while visiting my daughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. the rooms are spacious and clean and if you stay on ocean side the views are amazing. I really enjoyed the balcony overlooking beach. There is a donut breakfast every morning with coffee and other drinks. The place is older hotel but it is well kept. I would stay there again.
Been staying at Perry’s for 50 years. Lots of remodeling going on especially in the Garden rooms. I agree with several of the poor reviews, such as, the indoor pool has what looks to be some kind of bad stain all around the edge. The hot tub appears to be fine. There was a sparse crowd for the first weekend and up until Thursday very few guests. Then the Bikers rolled in for Biketoberfest. We stayed on the third floor of the North Tower in a newly remodeled room. It was perfect for us. As for the rough crowd...I did witness a profane laced verbal exchange between some couples around the outdoor pool, shuffleboard area. Security did address the problem and escort them from the grounds. Not sure if they were guests or not. Staff was attentive. We love Betty, Mary and our housekeeper. As for the doughnut room. Good coffee and juice. They used to make fresh doughnuts, but now just put icing on store bought cakes. Not like the good old days. So finally, if you are looking for a resort this is not the place. Give them time to remodel and hopefully the repairs needed will make Perry’s the place it used to be. …
I used to go to Daytona Beach Shores with my family as a child, and we almost always stayed at Perry’s Ocean Edge. Although there have been a few “modernizations,” this motel has remained largely unchanged. It is decent, semi-clean, and inexpensive, and the location is ideal. However, the facilities are very old.
