The room had a funky smell and an out dated bathroom but it is an economy hotel. Excellent TV, view from patio, and a nice pool. The shower heard was a little disappointing along with the amount of parking spaces. There is not enough parking...More
The bad reviews are subjective at best. Is this the Hilton? No. Is it a classic 60's motel a' la Miami Beach steeped in nostalgia? Yes. The bad reviews had me to the point where I seriously considered being a no show. My curiosity outweighed...More
So ironic that it has a race themed name. Those 60's vintage yard sale furnished rooms go from $85 to $200 on race week. And oh by the way, when you return from the race...don't expect a parking spot. But getting up early to move...More
We stayed 2 nights at this motel this week, it's not modern but it's clean and friendly. I think it's the type of place you go back to just because it's cheap and after all your there for the beach which is the same as...More

Sorry to respond so late. My bed was very comfortable and I look for that where I stay. There are several beachfront properties in Daytona that look like resorts but have horrible beds. I did not see any bugs at all. Nor was my room moldy or smelly. The A/C was in good condition and kept the place cold. My son and cousin recently went to this property and they, too, liked it. Maybe there are some rooms that ARE older? I stayed upstairs, so maybe those rooms are more recent and bigs less likely to come in?
