If you stay here after reading this review, well,I tried to tell you.In my sixty years of many trips across America, and staying in many cities, this “hotel” in Daytona was the most disgusting place I have ever seen.I really misjudged the reviews, the pictures and the location. This place is a worn down, past repair, nasty excuse of a place for even the most frugile of traveler.I am not overly pickey and just the most basic, clean, and decent will suffice for me.The bathroom sink in the room was next to a bed! No joke! Rusted appliances,1950’s fittings in the shower that leaked. How to move a dresser out of the way to reach the bed.Look folks,Soap, shampoo, conditioner etc had to be kept on floor of the ole shower,no other place to put it.When a place is so bad you just kinda laugh about the situation because you’re already in it for the money,But you finally decide to eat the cost because you just can’t stay in a place so nasty. Not being mean, just being truthful .…
When it comes to beach front hotels in the area, there are a million places to pick from. One of my family members suggested this place. There are several different style rooms which you can see on their website, and on different travel sites (Priceline). We chose the Beachfront Couples Cottage. So adorable! Amazing view, clean, and did I mention the view?! This place was exactly what the doctor ordered. We read on their website that it came with a stocked kitchen, so we brought different meals to cook. Had a gas stove and all the utensils we needed. We brought along our own blender, but the sign on the fridge said they can provide one if needed! So happy we were told about this place. I cannot wait to return.
We had an adorable cottage facing the ocean...it was wonderful and the and owner and his family went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The front desk staff were very helpful. The place is old, but very clean and comfortable. They are pet friendly and that was a plus. We would definitely stay there again!
My friend and I go every October, after our husbands return from their hunting trip. My friend has 4 little ones at home, so this is just the place she needs. I am old enough to be her mother, but we laugh, shop, but mostly just "be". The roar of the ocean and watching the dolphins in the morning are so peaceful. No hustle and bustle, no cleaning, or even cooking if you don't want to. It's just what the doctor ordered. We will do this every year! Rooms and clean, staff is extremely helpful, easy to find, and the pool is awesome. So great that we are leaving in a week to come back for 2 weeks!
Excellent & convenient location. Beach literally in the backyard a nice pool as well. Rooms are clean and some what spacious. The room comfortably slept two adults and four children. Kitchenette left a little to be desired but we didn't plan on doing a lot of cooking anyway. Although stovetop didn't work that well but oven worked perfectly. We had family staying in another suite so we cooked up two big meals the first two nights that we were there. We stayed at a total four nights. We would definitely stay there again and recommend this place as a reasonable price stay.
This is a lovely place to stay in Daytona Beach Shores. It doesn’t have all the amenities of the high rises. It is a family oriented facility. The rooms and cottages have kitchenettes. Nice feature. It is clean and well maintained. The owners are working constantly to continue improments. The pool is large with all day sun, as many of the high rises shade the pool and or beach. There is a very large grassy area not often found on beach properties. If you like all the bells and whistles, you would probably be disappointed with this facility. If you’re looking for a small, clean, friendly spot to enjoy the sun and surf, this may just be the spot for you. We have enjoyed every minute we have spent here!
We had a cabana on the shore and we could see the ocean from our bed. We had our own kitchen and saved a ton of money just by cooking. The stay was amazing. The shower gas the best water pressure of any shower I’ve ever taken!!! The landscaping was gorgeous. I will come here ever chance I get! We moved it! Best vacation ever!
Stayed recently with my spouse and 16 year old. Room was nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Love the location to the beach. Just walk out your door and you’re there!! No long walk, no elevators. The only complaint I had was the bed in our room. Probably the worst mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on. 😩 I was clinging to the high side while my husband sunk on his side. My back is still not right. Ugh. We would love to return again but definitely could not sleep on that bed again.
This place is old, but starting to update rooms. Some of the big hotels in some pictures are not this place. Rooms were clean and ok, beds were ok, TV is a bit of a challenge to turn on, but we got it working. Parking was horrible for cars or trucks, but you could ride your motorcycle up to your room door which was good. Staff was friendly and accommodated us when needed. The prices were high for the rooms here during bike week, but they were everywhere. The ocean was just a little walk from our room. The pool was clean, but the water was cold for this time of year. All in all, or stay was ok, and we would stay there again in the future.
