The best thing about this place is LOCATION. It is right on the beach. It provides a pool and lounge chairs. The outside area is currently under construction in spots. We stayed on the ground floor in "pretty bird". It was a king size bed, full kitchen and microwave with utensils. The decore and fixtures are circa 1970s. The bathroom begs for an update. The faucets in the sink and tub are squeaky and in desperate need of replacement. Otherwise, everything was VERY clean and housekeeping did a great job. I would stay there again for location alone. The staff are super nice and accommodating. Good value spot. 👏

If you like brand new 5 stars impersonal chain hotel then Tropical Manor isn’t for you. BUT if you re looking for a family owned, charming, reasonably priced, with great customer service place, then you’re going to LOVE Tropical Manor. This delightful hotel is right on the beach, with green grass and flowers all around. Lots of beautiful little areas to enjoy down time, gorgeous patio mosaic tables, shuffleboard, cozy colorful gazebo, BBQ area, huge pool deck. Their customer service is top. I have never stayed in a hotel where I felt genuinely welcomed, until I stayed at Tropical Manor. I keep coming back to this place because each room is beautifully decorated with tropical flowers and birds, the beds are very comfortable, and the service exceptional. The location was great right on the beach, I was able to get up and go for an early morning walk on the beach as well as sunrise and the setting of the moon. The room was ok. Front office ladies were amazing, made u feel very welcome. The tiles on the floor were wet with condensation in the room from the air conditioner. But over all our stay was great.

This was our first stay at Tropical Manor and it definitely won’t be our last. We stayed for two months and were pleased with every minute. The entire staff is always ready to answer any questions and accommodate any requests. The entire property is neat and clean and the room were we in was stocked with all the essentials we needed to be comfortable for our entire stay. We’ve been spending two months in Daytona Beach area for over 25 years and The Tropical Manor is one of the cleanest and most friendly places we’ve encountered.

We stayed for one night (last night of Bikeweek, 2023). Room was very clean, very spacious and had everything we needed. Would have loved it even more if there would have been coffee to brew in the provided coffeepot, but it all worked out since there are several places to get coffee nearby. Bathroom was well stocked with necessities. Location is great; right on the beach and far enough away, yet close enough to downtown! We will be back in October this year!

Loved the spacious room with a private patio. Kitchen and living area, plenty of room to move freely. Room was Vintage, but that added to it's charm. Very clean. Service as we wanted it, which mean a lot of privacy-I make my own bed. Daily amenities were available quickly as needed. Will hopefully be able to visit them for a longer period in 2024. Staff was very courteous and helpful.

My first stay was in October 2020 and we stayed in a 1 bedroom unit with a panoramic view of the ocean. This is my second stay at the Tropical Manor, and we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with a patio. The view of and access to the ocean are the highlight, but both units I have stayed in have been exceptionally clean & comfortable (far better than any chain hotel). There is nothing fancy or exotic here, but each unit is unique -- no cookie cutter, cheap hotel furniture here. I felt completely at home! I will be back again next time I stay in Daytona Beach Shores!

After being displaced from Hurricane Ian, my husband & I were so stressed out going from hotel, to hotel due to events in the area we had to keep moving around. Driving by the Tropical Manor, I said, "Now that looks like a nice relaxing place" We pulled in and spoke to the staff in the office, and they hooked us up with a beautiful room with an ocean view for 2 weeks at a very reasonable price compared to the other hotels in the area. Let me tell you, we felt so much better after just the first night at the Tropical Manor! We were relaxed and very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating, everything was clean & fresh from the towels to the beds. Nice kitchen for us to cook small meals like breakfast and easy dinners. I would highly recommend this awesome piece of old Florida :)…

I was not able to travel the last two years due to "world events" . However, good news! I just got back from Tropical Manor again! I had the vacation of a lifetime! Aileen the manager/owner daughter of Mrs. Audrey Dando who founded it in 1957 I believe) is the nicest manager you will ever have. She and the staff bend over backwards for guests. Once you stay here you will be hooked for life. This place is so beautiful, clean , quiet and relaxing. I personally think this is the best place in all of Daytona Beach

Went here for Christmas break. We absolutely love this family owned business. All staff were so friendly. The rooms are totally amazing. My friend recommended this place. We got to be good friends with Marge. She is so sweet. They even have a clothes line. This place is unique and spectacular. Do not hesitate to book your getaway.
