I stayed at this camp during the height of an unusual flood of the Orkhon River. I stayed in the main housing unit, not a ger. The room was well appointed, and I was looking forward to a shower in an actual private shower. The bathroom and room was clean, but I was told the flood made taking a shower...

This camp also has a hotel attached and is owned by a famous Mongolian wrestler. The gers have elements not experienced at other camps. Apart from 24 hour electricity and power sockets there are fridges in each ger along with air conditioning. Internal fittings and fixtures are more comfortable. The main restaurant has a bar which is relatively well stocked....

We stayed at this camp about two weeks ago, and it was nothing but disappointment. The camp is far from being luxury, it's run down, poorly maintained, out of service showers, the heater inside the ger was broken, and it took almost 2 hours for the maintenance staff to fix it. Stayed for two nights over nadam and compared to the other her camps was disappointed. Maybe the A/C ones are better? Our ger was in comparison to other places run down and shabby and the whole camp had a feel of neglect about it. Their reputation went before them as the best camp in the ares. Not having seen the...

Dreamland Tourist camp is set just outside the dusty town of Kharkhorin and close to the famous monastery Erden Zuu. It was started by a local man, Asashoryu, who went on to become a champion Sumo wrestler. As wrestling is by far the most popular sport in Mongolia, and Sumo champions are much revered, Asashoryu is famous throughout Mongolia. Designed...
