Ants in the room, dated & dirty throughout. This icon badly needs a facelift. It's also too expensive given the subpar accommodations. The breakfast buffet was an embarrassment with barely edible bacon, eggs & stale pastries.

We arrived later in the evening and pulled up to valet. The very 1st person we meet is the valet - Ken. He was friendly, helpful, funny, polite, efficient, and so pleasant. I thought, wow, if this is any indication of what the rest of our stay will be - we are in luck! Sure enough, Kevin checked us in and made sure we knew where everything was located - the pool, the firepits, the gamerooom, the restaurant and all of the other amenities.....This hotel is historic and they have done everything to maintain its original grandness! Our room was clean, beds were super confortable, temperature perfect, bathroom was in perfect working order and the historic charm of the rooms and hotel was amazing. However, the crown jewel of this hotel is the Sunday brunch. Although pricey, it was WELL WORTH EVERY DIME! I am a high maintenance guest for sure, and every expectation with this brunch was exceeded. The buffet consisted of a variety of hot and cold dishes, including chilled to perfection crab claws (the good part), cocktail shrimp (peeled and seasoned with Ole Bay seasoning), prime rib, pork loin, fluffy scrambled eggs, omlette station, and desserts to die for! The variety was awesome and the food spectacular! We did not golf but there is a golf course. The location is close to the Jersey shore towns, and Atlantic City was a stone's throw. I cannot possibly understand how anyone would not enjoy this hotel! My only complaint is that I could not stay longer because of work. I will definitly be back!

This was our first time staying at Seaview in over 20 years, so we had expectations based on prior experience. Unfortunately, the hotel did not live up to those expectations. While the staff was friendly and accommodating we felt that this was a very average property compared to what we experienced in the past, when it was owned by Marriott. The upgraded look to the lobby and rooms was disappointing - everything was painted grey. There was a youth soccer tournament in the area and the place was overrun by hordes of screaming kids, whose parents sat at the lobby bar sipping cocktails, seemingly oblivious (doubtful) while their kids reeked havoc. The staff could not control these mobs of wailing brats nor should they have had to do so. That's the responsibility of their parents. There was no complimentary coffee service in the lobby during morning hours - just a Lavazza machine in the "gift shop" that had no cups when we located it. Our room was quite small and the bathroom had very little counter space. The food was average and priced high. We were looking at bringing our entire family of 8 to this resort during the summer but now that's off the table. Too bad, this place could really be something again.

When thinking of Atlantic City you think of the bustle the craziness and chaos. We stayed at this hotel as my kids had a soccer tournament in AC and we didn't feel the casino atmosphere would be appropriate for the kids, especially during the weekend. This hotel was recommended to us and it was perfect for what we needed. It was a very old hotel built a long time ago but did not feel old at all, it managed to keep the historical aspects while modernizing as well. It was not far at all from where our tournament was and was an easy drive over. Very large indoor pool, a classic "playroom" equipped with 2 pool tables, ping pong, and a few other things. A very dated thing but I thought was super cool. The room was perfect for us, very clean, although a bit humid that I couldn't figure out how to get rid of the humidity in the room, even with the thermostat set lower it was humid. The restaurant inside is a bit costly but the food is good. The only reason I can't give this hotel a full 5 score is that the parking lot is wayyy too far from the hotel's entrance, and I am not interested in spending $18 a day to valet the car. Also while most staff were friendly there were a handful of staff who just seemed to be always mad at something. There were more kids around due to the soccer tournament but the bartender would walk past some of the kids, make a face and shake her head at them. She complained to patrons at the bar that the hostess sat at our table near her bar, knowing we could hear her complain. The guys who came to take the towels in the pool accused the kids in the pool of taking something from the playroom downstairs, meanwhile, no one in the pool knew of the playroom existing. (Them accusing the kids is what made us discover the playroom). Other than that, if I needed to stay in AC for something other than casinos/concerts, I would recommend this hotel.

I believe that the pipes were rusted due to the discoloration of the water. I had to let it run for about 20 minutes prior to the water turning clear. By this time the water was not as hot as I’d like it to be. Needless to say this cause several interpretations throughout my day. I was booked at this hotel for a few days & departed earlier than scheduled. There was no resolution upon reporting this issue.

We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to Atlantic City. It's an easy ride to be able to go to the casinos. The room we chose was a King Executive room & it was a great size. The bathroom was huge which was a bonus. The issues we had were that the heat only works while people are in the room (motion detection) and since it was super cold out, it took a while to heat up. The same thing happened during the night & we woke up very cold. The other issue is that there is absolutely NO heat vents in the all marble bathroom. Floor to ceiling marble makes it very, very cold! Don't forget to pack slippers if you need to walk on that marble floor. Also, the bathtub, which had been reglazed was peeling & there was no way a bath could have been taken if one had wanted one. Finally, the morning we were leaving there was no hot water in the shower. We mentioned it at the front desk & received a credit on our bill which was nice. This is a very nice hotel, but some rooms are in need of renovation/improvements.

The guestroom is comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bed was fabulous and offered the best night's sleep. The breakfast buffet/brunch was delicious and well priced. The staff was courteous and professional.

Stayed at Seaview in every season, this time is our third after-Thanksgiving stay. Had dinner and breakfast in Main Dining Room. Used the indoor pool with my youngest. Had the best sleep in months in a beautiful suite. Can't wait for our next stay!

The lobby was impressive but the rooms were just average. Felt like a step above a super 8. We were on the first floor and parking lot was right in front of our room. Bathroom only fit one person at a time. The bed was lumpy and AC didn't reach the temp. Carpet was dirty in our room. Bathroom vanity had rust on it. Did not feel like a 225.00 per night stay.

From the outside the hotel is beautiful. Inside the lobby/bar area it was very loud, so loud we could barely hear one another talking. There was a soccer tournament going on and there were kids running through the hotel yelling and unattended by their parents. The room was underwhelming and does not reflect the rooms on the website. It was clean and we ate at the restaurant and had a very good meal there. The staff was accommodating when they took us to the wrong room and our key fob did not work when we first arrived. When I commented my disappointment on the room looking very different in person (and the view) than on the website, the person at the front desk replied, "we get that a lot." well I think then something should be stated on the website to reflect this. They have pictures on the wall of a bunch of celebrities that have been there so I think at one time it probably was beautiful. At this point I would not go back. If you are a golfer, this may work.
