Positive aspects: Clean room and friendly staff. I am not going to go on a ranting so will keep it short. You don’t get much for your dime and the location isn’t really that great either unless you just book the fishing trips. Romantic getaway with single beds are just amazing ;)

Old fishermen's cabins (rorbuer) refurbished in small apartments and a few hotel rooms in the old boat hangar. We were in the cabins with a kitchen. Very quiet in the historic fishing village of Å. In winter, the service is limited (no restaurant in the complex and limited reception hours) but the village is at the heart of what I found the most beautiful parts of the Lofted archipelago (or at least with the highest concentration of jaw droopingly beautiful landscapes). Just the hotel complex is beautiful in its own right. The cabins are a bit barebones but this is cosy enough to rest after hikes. No TVs in at least some of the cabins (which was great for us).

There is not many places to stay in Å, you might be lucky on AirBnB, but anyway the selection is limited and the prices are high. I asked on e-mail and in two separate phone calls for a specific cabin. I was promised this cabin, but of course once we were there no one even acknowledged to have heard about my request. That said - the cabin was clean and big, the wifi good, tv and a well equipped kitchen.

Covered in tons snow, just a few tiny red huts, great food and what more do you need? If you are looking for a truly charming, mesmerizing and lovely place to stay with either your family or your significant one - this really is the perfect getaway. Lovely staff, very helpful, family like atmosphere. Perfectly quiet, surrounded by the mesmerizing beauty of the archipelago, the magical wooden red cabins are a true Lofoten symbol and give a perfect vibe setting. A very special place for a 100% relaxation and battery recharge. Great value for money. Absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend.

We stayed one night in Å Rorbuer. We got cabin no. 20 - it's a bit further away from the other cabins. It was really nice - a spacious living room with kitchen area, nice bathroom, two bedrooms. Comfortable beds, cosy atmosphere overall. Wi-fi worked fine. We really enjoyed our stay. We had dinner at the restaurant, it was delicious. We also had breakfast (not included in the price) and it was good. There's also a great bakery nearby, if you'd rather have your own breakfast. Take time looking around in Å, Reine etc. This end of the Lofoten is definitely the most interesting and most beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed the three nights we spent at Å Rorbuer. This was our fourth vacation in Norway, but it was our first visit to the Lofoten Islands. We were overwhelmed by the stunning location of Å Rorbuer, as well as by the consistently warm service we received from the staff. The cabin in which we stayed was quite modern with a nice kitchenette and spacious living room and bathroom. We particularly appreciated the nice balcony, where we could enjoy our surroundings. Breakfast was not included in our rate, but the price was reasonable, and we thought it was the best breakfast of our trip! We also loved our dinners in the restaurant, as well as the cocktails before dinner and akevitt afterward! We loved Å Rorbuer!

We booked in advance. Charming converted fisherman's hut on stilts over the water, Plenty of room with kitchen living area, bathroom and bedroom. Good restaurant and breakfast. Close to Moskenes port. We kept costs down by doing a supermarket shop in Bodo before we caught the ferry, The ferry was also very well organised. Book the ferry in advance and arrive at the port an hour before departure - wait in the reserved lane. The E10 road runs the length of the Island and is worth a days drive for its beauty. Watch the sun not-set on Ramberg beach. Sunbathing at midnight and swimming in a surprisingly warm sea inside the article circle is magical. The beach and gallery at Eggum is also worth a visit.

For the traditional Lofoten Island experience this was a good spot for a few nights. The bedroom is quite small with a double bed on bottom and twin on top bunk. Curtains don't totally block out the sun that never sets so may need an eye mask. Living room area is spacious with couch, kitchen area (with fridge, stove), dining table, armoire. No tv so bring your entertainment. No hair dryer or shampoo just a soap dispenser. Wifi is a bit slow. Breakfast not included. Basically a no frills spot, very basic and simple. Clean and tidy which was nice. The restaurant is very large and quite charming. The fish soup and bacalao were great. This robuer is nearby the ferry dock in moskenes, it is to the left just before the tunnel, the stream and mountains are on the right. We checked in at the restaurant. All in all a fair stay at a "fisherman" house.

Upon our arrival, there is no staff standby in the reception, my partner need to call them and searce for them. At the midnight, the staff knocked our door so hard and loud, till the other roommates also got a shock by the knock at midnight, he wanted us to make the payment NOW , We feel weird why we couldn't pay upon check out ? and my partner has to follow him all the way to reception and make the payment in the midnight and under -15 degree. The next day, dish washer is not working, nobody response our call, we are just afraid they are gonna to charge us for that. Again nobody standby in the reception while check out. Very poor service, I am not sure whether is during winter time , less tourists that's why they are not care. Cabin is nothing fancy if compare to other rorbuer. Not recommended , there are plenty of rorbuer !

We stayed in a traditional red rorbuer right on the water's edge in A. The Lofoten Islands are spectacular and this was a perfect spot to base ourselves. We spent four days exploring the southern half of the islands from here. The rorbuer was very comfortable with two bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The views were amazing. The village of A is quite small and most of it is a living museum. The highlight is the bakery that bakes cinnamon buns in an old vintage oven. Delicious! Reception is not always open. But if you call someone will arrive and check you in within a few minutes. These rorbuers really add to the Lofoten experience.
