Let's face it - no one goes to Celaya for pleasure. I mean it's a nice city with extremely nice and helpful people, but there just isn't very much to see. You see the church, eat some cajeta, wander around a bit.

So if you go for business most people will recommend that you stay in one of the expensive hotels that are quite a distance from the centro. These hotels are nice and expensive like most modern franchise hotels are.

So if you are 1. on a budget, 2. want to stay in the center of town, 3. want the best bang for your buck, I can unhesitatingly recommend Hotel Isabel. It's clean. It's cheap. It's always open. It's a block or two away from the main plazas and churches. Yeah, sure, maybe it's old and a bit worn; but for $250 pesos a night you're not going to get anything better. In fact - you can definitely do a LOT worse.

I highly recommend the hotel for people who don't really care about what kind of hotel they are in and just want to enjoy the city...
